Break a leg, 101A.
Hope you get it.
And I'm on the ballot.
Strangely, I'm not in the least bit anxious. I guess a non-paying school board gig isn't enough to get all worked up over.
Break a leg, 101A.
Hope you get it.

Are you an intelligent design candidate?
Texan living in Western Pa - if I DID speak fluently, I would be the only one.
Absolutely.
ID, Young Earth, Prayer in School, Public Spankings - may even re-teach the kids how to hide under their desks in case the big one falls!
I'm the whole package (or "enchilada" for you, DR)
you could always run in kansas.
It's like a Jimmy Stewart/Frank Capra moment for SpursTalk.
FYI
Fell 30 votes shy in my bid.
At least my yard signs are biodegradable.
Out of how many votes, 101A?
+- 2000
I've only lived in this town for 4 years - and, frankly, kind of mailed it in. My first run at anything; set up a website, got some signs, gave a couple of speeches. But I did not canvass, call bank. or send letters out - a buddy of mine did all of that, and he got on the ballot on both tickets (school board members cross file). There were seven running for 4 spots on each ticket - the 4 in bents + one of the challengers (my aforementioned buddy) are on the ballot now in November.
Informal polling suggests name recognition was a significant issue - have to do enough to overcome the built in in bent advantage, and I did not.
Hey, it's a start. Next time, try the "I have consistently opposed child porn/wife beating/live animal skinning/the KKK in this campaign, unlike my opponent" line.
Had posted my Website, thought better of it.
If anyone's interested, let me know, and I'll PM you.
Jesus H- ing Christ...
My boy, 101A and I forgot his ass lives in PA.

Dear God, you dont want ANYONE here knowing that .
I know a local school board is very low level politics, but do you guys have the old tradition of the winners paying for the printing costs of the losers signage?
Nope, but this sounds like a great time to start that tradition! Thanks for bringing it up.
