Now this story isn't 100% correct, but is rather funny. It happened in November 2007. I received en e-mail from a friend, and found a web link to it:
JUST A NEW TOY IN THE HANDS OF THOSE ILL PREPARED WHO DIDN'T READ THE INSTRUCTION MANUAL.

    In case you hadn't heard

Thisbrand spanking new Airbus 340-600, the largestpassenger airplane ever built, sits just outside its hangar in Toulouse , France without a single hour of airtime.

Enter the Arab flight crew of Abu Dhabi Aircraft Technologies(ADAT) to conduct pre-delivery tests on the ground,
suchasengine run-ups prior to delivery toEtihad Airways in Abu Dhabi .
The ADAT crew taxied the A340-600 to the run-up area.

Then they took all four engines to takeoff power with avirtually empty aircraft.
Not having Read the run-upmanuals, they had no clue just how light an emptyA340-600 really is.

The Takeoff Warning Horn was blaring away in the pitbecause they had All four engines at full power.
The aircraft computers thought they were trying to take off,but it had not been configured properly (flaps/slats, etc...)

Then one of the ADAT crew decided to pull the circuitbreaker on the Ground Proximity Sensor to silence the alarm.
This fools the aircraft into thinking it is in the air.

The computers automatically released all the brakes and sent the aircraft rocketing forward.
The ADAT crew had no idea that this is a safety feature so that pilots can't land with the brakes on.

Not one member of the seven-man Arab crew was smart enough to throttle back the engines from their max power setting.
The $200 million brand-new aircraft crashed into a blast barrier, totaling it.

The extent of injuries to the crew is unknown due to the news blackout of the major media in France and elsewhere.

Coverage of the story was deemed insulting to Muslim Arabs.

Finally, the photos are starting to leak out.

Airbus $200 million aircraft meets retaining wall and the wall wins
The results of the accident investigation:

Unsecured wheels' caused Airbus crash, 12/21/08

I wonder if those Arab crewmen were beheaded when they returned to Abu Dhabi?

wtf does this have to do with arab muslims? I fail to see the correlation...

All I read were a small few dumbasses that couldn't use common sense.

Seven on the nine on board during the test were from Abu Dhabi Aircraft Technologies(ADAT.) You would think that Airbus would test the aircraft themselves before delivery. The suggestion is the accident was because of the Arabs doing the test, unqualified with the aircraft, under the supervision of two Airbus employees.

Where does the legal fault apply I wonder?
