That would make sense..
read this article about sheed going to cavs for around 10 mil. and to top it off a trade might come into works for cavs to also acquire randolph or one of their many bigs from the clippers! wft!......why the do teams like grizzlies, clippers just give away talent w/ uneven trades while the spurs get these slow ass bigs. O wait, MARCIN GORTAT, spurs got next years championship locked!
That would make sense..
Go then. We do not need you.
i hope the clippers do trade randolph, they really need to get rid of him. a wallace and randolph frontcourt would be decent. spurs could have really used wallace but i would be reluctant for them to offer him near the full MLE, leaving no money for a solid wing.
This has to be surely better than Wallace and Joe Smith if they can get him.
The Cavs are desperate for a championship. They'll take on any type of bad contract to get it done. And after how their supporting cast choked, they basically have to start over in building around LeBron once again.
The Spurs should be pretty desperate but there's no way they could reach the desperation level of the Cavs. If the Cavs bomb out next year and LeBron leaves, the franchise will probably have to move or fold.
Except for the obvious Gasol example we haven't seen too many lopsided trades. Forget the talent side, in the NBA contracts are traded, not players or talent. Any team willing to get Randolph, for example, would have to be completely desperate because of his ridiculous contract. While there's no doubt he's talented, the Clippers wouldn't even dream of getting anything back for him, in fact, they most likely would have to part with a couple of pics or assets in order to kick his ass out. There are many more examples of course.
Cavs right now are as desperate as they come, that's why they have taken on awful contracts such as Big Ben's and are paying tens of millions of dollars in Luxury Tax. They can afford it at the moment, the Spurs, on the other hand, cannot. Acquiring a contract like these could have a disastrous effect on the Spurs for so many obvious reasons. So, if you love your team, don't expect them to do deals like these.
If this doesn't have anything to do with the spurs than who cares.....
This report has already been refuted for the fact that the Cavs don't have 10million to give Wallace.
And with the report about Randoplh, it stated a sign and trade when Randolph is already signed to a contract.
Both reports bogus.

Wallace rumor not true
Rasheed Wallace | Pistons
A report Monday said the Cavs have opened negotiations with Pistons free agent center Rasheed Wallace on a two-year contract at $10 million per season. This is impossible and illegal; the Cavs do not have salary cap space to sign any player to a $10 million contract and any talks cannot begin until July 1. It is likely the Cavs will contact Wallace at that time, as he's probably going to be on their list of free agent targets. But he will not get a $10 million contract from the Cavs or likely any team in the NBA. -- The Plain Dealer

There is a reason Randolph has always been on losing teams, he has no basketball IQ.
He is a blackhole on offense, and he is nothing on defense.
If the Cavs get him, I doubt they would even get out of the 2nd round.
agree, Rasheed will eventually have to stay low and ask for a paycut
