http://www.fannation.com/truth_and_r...is?eref=fromSIAccording to two sources with knowledge of the situation, neither Kurt Rambis nor his representative has negotiated potential terms of an offer. And while the Kings appear poised to do so, those potential discussions might not occur until the series against Orlando ends.

Rambis is very comfortable in LA. He may be reluctant to move to a bad situation when he can just relax and enjoy the ride with the Lakers. Plus, he would need an out from Sacto if and when Phil leaves LA (which could be quite soon).
This could be an interesting test of Rambis's priorities.
I hope Rambis leaves, I love him, but I don't think all that highly of him as a head coach. So if he leaves then Brian Shaw or someone else will take over for PJ, not Rambis.
I still don't get why they ever got rid of Adelman.
