there he goes again..a 3pt shot.
now they are leading...
29 points for Jax and 30 for Reggie. Looks like Indy is going to take it!
Hey flash! Any relation to Ben?
![]()
Reggie is playing great this last few weeks...
i think he shld reconsider his decision to retire![]()
Good job, Pacers!
Jack shot like crap from the field overall (9-for-28) but hit 6-for-11 from 3 ... and made the ones that he really needed to.
Oh? You say he's clutch. . .but has he ever come up big in the conference finals, or better yet the championship series?
HUH????
Answer me you mutha!!!
Oh, wait, he has.
Please continue. . . .
Speaking of Gordon , hey they're on OT too vs. Cleveland, w/ Ben leading the way w/
20 pts & 6 assts...
i thought it would be easy for LeBron to win vs the Baby Bulls w/ big man Curry on IL, almost forgotten Ben Gordon...![]()
the battle for playoff positioning continues. It's neck-to-neck now![]()
..9 of 28?just 32%.
but they got the W, it's ok. Even Pops wouldn't mind at all.![]()
which part of jacksons qoute " i make love to pressure" dont u understand.
some Pacers(Artest/SJax/O'Neal), just stupid enough to participate in that brawl. They could have been #1 or #2 in the East, esp now that Detroit Pistons not playing well lately and coach Brown's return uncertain...![]()

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Stephen Jackson was having an awful night, missing 10 consecutive shots at one point, before everything took a sharp turn for the better.
Jackson forced overtime by making a 3-pointer with 0.2 seconds left, then put the Pacers ahead for good on another 3 with 1:54 remaining to lead Indiana to a 114-108 victory over the Miami Heat on Thursday night.
"I get down on myself a lot, but my team constantly tells me, 'You have one more big one in you?"' Jackson said.![]()

It was the third straight overtime game between the teams, and Indiana extended its winning streak over the Heat to 12 in a row.
Jackson finished with 29 points, while Reggie Miller had 31.
Miller shot 11-for-18 from the field and made all eight of his free throws for Indiana, which defeated the Heat 106-100 in Miami on Jan. 21 and 93-91 at home Feb. 23.
For Miami, Dwyane Wade scored 37 points, Damon Jones had 27 and Shaquille O'Neal 24. O'Neal, who grabbed 13 rebounds, did not score in overtime after tallying 10 points in the fourth quarter.
Jackson's 3-pointer with 1:54 left in overtime gave Indiana a 104-102 lead, and Keyon Dooling missed a 6-footer for Miami. Davis made two foul shots after grabbing an offensive rebound, making it 106-102. After Wade missed a jumper, Miller knocked down a 15-footer for a six-point lead.
Davis had 13 points and 11 rebounds, and Anthony Johnson had 16 points and 13 assists.
Pacers coach Rick Carlisle was succinct in his explanation. "At the end of regulation, we needed a miracle and got one," he said.
Heat coach Stan Van Gundy agreed with O'Neal. "We should have won," he said. "It came down to one play and one rebound that we didn't get."
The game was close throughout, with 16 ties and 15 lead changes. earlier in the season.
..so, Indiana win the series against Miami?
and Indiana's 12-W game streak vs. Miami?
..no answer ShaQ?
Too bad he's still not on the Spurs.
does anyone remember that shot Sjax had against Minnesota with 1 second left that sent the game to overtime? That was in 2003 (obviously) around the half-way point in the season, (after the rodeo trip)
^^Yeah, but they ended up losing that game.
A crying shame. He was still a knucklehead for his actions in Detroit. The anti-Spur who should still be a Spur.
.188%
That's what Stephen Jackson shot against the Lakers in the playoffs the year we won the le, from 3,...
...and he shot .327% from the field.
It's a funny thing...our choker 3 point shooters haven't choked against every team...just the Lakers...Jack did too.
To be fair though..Jack torched LA in the regular season and Phil made defending him at the 3 line a priority...Kinda like they did with Horry last year.
What swung that Laker series and made it different from all the others was the game, game 2 I believe, where they tried to cheat off of Bruce and send Kobe to double Tim....and Bruce scored 27 points, mostly(totally?) from three...
Jack was clearly sporadic but Jack also came up big in the final Game 6 of the FINALS against the Nets. He was the second leading scorer and hit 3 threes.
He also came up big in game sixes against the Mavs and Suns....
Bue he did not come up big at any time against the Lakers...
That was the only LA playoff series in the Phil era where Duncan wasn't heavily double teamed in the 4th quarters...Shaq defended Tim in the 4th quarters of that series...
They didn't leave Jack because Jack torched them in the regular season and was a big reason we swept them...they couldn't double off of Manu or Parker...and when they tried it with Bruce he absolutely smoked them.
And that's why Tim Duncan was the guy hitting all the big shots down the stretch in that game 6...
But in that series Jack shot worse from 3 than just about any of the guys we have labeled as chokers for their performances against LA(at least he has an excuse that he wasn't being dared to shoot though, unlike Hedo and Smitty, etc).
Phil has been extraordiarily good at guessing who the weak link is on our perimeter game...that year there wasn't one and Duncan got to play like Duncan.
Why is Reggie retiring?
He is playing the best ball in his last 3 seasons, the past month or two.
