Seattle (49-21) at San Antonio (52-18)
Winning without Tim Duncan hasn't been easy for San Antonio, but it has made the Spurs significantly tougher.
``There is no one in the league that feels sorry for the Spurs,'' San Antonio's Brent Barry said. ``We have to be mentally strong.''
Still battling for the top seed in the Western Conference and the best overall record in the NBA, the Spurs will shoot for their third straight win when they host the Northwest Division-leading Seattle SuperSonics.
Duncan, likely out at least another two weeks with a sprained right ankle, has been the Spurs' key player since entering the league in 1997, guiding San Antonio to two NBA les.
The Spurs are 3-5 without their perennial All-Star power forward this season, including 2-2 since he went down with the ankle injury at Detroit on March 20.

On Sunday, Barry hit three 3-pointers during a 21-2 fourth-quarter run as the Spurs pulled away late for an impressive 83-70 victory over Houston.
Barry finished with 17 points, and has averaged 19 over the last three games, doing his part to help fill the void left by San Antonio's top scorer and rebounder.
``We all pulled together and played with some emotions, and that carried us,'' Barry said.
All-Star Manu Ginobili scored a team-high 18 points against the Rockets as the Spurs finished with five players in double figures.
San Antonio remained just one game behind Phoenix (53-17) for the top seed in the West and best record in the league. The Spurs are also just one game back of Eastern Conference-leading Miami, which is percentage points behind the Suns at 54-18.
The Sonics took two of the first three meetings from the Spurs this season with Duncan in the lineup, making Wednesday's matchup a tough test for undermanned San Antonio.
``It was tough playing them with Tim Duncan; they beat us twice,'' Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said. ``The one time we beat them they were without Ray Allen. It will be a huge challenge on Wednesday.''
Allen was out with the flu when the Spurs posted a 103-84 victory at KeyArena on Jan. 31. However, the Sonics' All-Star shooting guard hit 5-of-7 3-pointers and scored 22 points Tuesday as Seattle edged Memphis 102-99.
Jerome James also scored 22 points, going 9-of-11 from the floor, for the Sonics, who clinched a playoff berth with the victory. Seattle has won six of its last seven to move within four games of conference-leading Phoenix.
The Sonics were without Rashard Lewis, their second-leading scorer, who sat out with a right foot injury, and reserve forward Danny Fortson, who is recovering from a left ankle sprain.

Look for Ginobili and Brent to takeover again.
Has there been any update on whether or not Rashard is playing?
Mar. 30 Unable to play through his sore foot last night, Rashard Lewis will remain sidelined for this evening's game, according to the Seattle Times. It's unclear if he will be ready to go on Friday.
read this blurb....if so, that's great news for us.

No one on the Spurs matches up with him well, so I hope he's really out.
Well if he was playing I would have like to see LJIII on him could have been an interesting matchup given the longs 3s is what we have him around for.
Parker is due for a breakout game, book itAlso, I expect Brent to continue his hot 3 point shooting. Despite this, I think Spurs may lose a close game.
Brent still owes us the traditional HUGE game against his former team.
Tonight's The Night
I think this always happens when a player is traded.Barry choose to come to SA so I don't think there is a strong case on this but I am rooting for him to have a good game tonight.
4 of 5 from 3 point land for Barry Bank on it.
Ray Allen staring at the court at 3 today.
Focus.
come on people, we're counting on this blog for info, someone post! lol
The Sonics' interior defense is pathetic. I don't know what's happened to their offensive rebounding either. No hustle.
Sonics look flummoxed. Spurs punishing them on defense. Spurs offense very active, relentless.
Another Spurs effort at playoff level. Thinking back to NY and IND games, I hardly recognize these Spurs. what a transformation.
Plenty of hustle from Marks.
Plenty of jumpers too.
Now there's one I don't see everyday.flummoxed
Man where the is Solid D with the Bill Showning style play-by-play?!?!?
Why doesn't anyone think of posting scores along with better descriptions for those of us who cant see the game or get it on radio.
Leave it to boutons to flummox you with his vocabulary! HAHAHAHAHA![]()

Because Solid D isn't here. 29-18 Spurs. Seattle is playing Potapenko for chrissake. No excuse for losing this one.
Jesus, Seattle isn't making today huh
good to see Parker back to his usual self again
Sean Marks hit his first jumper from about 16 feet. The first three looked awful.
Spurs 31 - Sonics 18 End of 1st
Spurs rolling. Ray Allen isn't hitting much of anything, the Spurs crowd him everytime he handles the ball and he isn't finding the open man. Manu and Parker are tearing it up due to total lack of interior defense on Seattle's part. Spurs killing the Sonics on the boards and getting plenty of second chances on their posessions.
hey, all you Kiwiz!!
Sean is having a huge game. lotsa movement, hitting the boards, and finally hit a jumper. Looking like spot on the playoff roster, he is.
