we missed this matchup when we beat an Allen-less Seattle the last time. Allen made 9 out of 13 3s vs the Spurs. Well, let's see what its gonna be tonight.

We have No Tim Duncan. Seattle's crew is incomplete either. Antonio Daniels (chondromalacia, left knee) is probable. Lewis (right foot strain) is questionable. . Fortson (left ankle sprain) is out. Mateen Cleaves (right thumb sprain) and Vladimir Radmanovic (stress fracture, right fibula) are on the injured list.

will Ray Allen say Bruce play "sissy basketball" again?

Regardless of how beat up Seattle is...Ray Allen is healthy and that means they are capable of giving us another buttwhuppin.

Even worse Ray Allen is playing with SUPREME CONFIDENCE right now...and when Ray Allen is playing like this...it is nearly impossible to beat his team...he will drain big shots, he will drain back breaking shots, he will drain buzzer beaters, he will drain shots period...and it doesn't seem to matter if he is defended well or not...

It's easy to hate on Ray because of his wimp at ude towards Bowen...but Ray Allen is a stud.

He complained about Bruce playing like a sissy last season...and then he has gone out and made Bruce look like a sissy this season....Allen has dominated Bruce this season, on both ends of the ball and that's all there is to it...He doesn't like Bruce very much, he has a score to settle from last season...and he has settled so far.

This is the matchup that will decide if we win this game IMO.

Parker and Manu are gonna get theirs...and contrary to what Ducks thinks...Barry hasn't played that badly against Seattle...it's not his fault Pop only gave him 6 minutes in one of the loses...

This is a game that Manu's agressiveness won't be enough to lift us to victory...

This is one of those games where Bowen's skills are at an absolute premium...this is one of those games that makes me want to rest Bruce most of the season so he'll have legs for games like this...

Allen is on a roll right now and if Bruce isn't able to break Allen's confidence then we won't win this game...and that's the bottom line...stop Ray Allen and we win, Duncan or no Duncan...don't stop Ray Allen and we will lose.

My money is on Bruce to come up big in this game and slap Allen's punkass off the court...Bruce looked bad against Allen in those two losses, I don't mean unlucky like he did against McGrady, I mean he looked bad. I think Bruce has a lot of pride and knows how important it is for him to come up big in a game like this...

I have never seen Bruce fail to come up with a great performance against someone that had made him look bad or when the team absolutely needed his particular defensive skill set to win a a game. We haven't lost a must win game because of Kobe Bryant since Bruce joined the team...

A game like this is where Bruce just might be the most important player on the team....Because Tim Duncan doesn't guard Ray Allen.

Now...not only has Bruce got a score to settle with Allen...but I don't think he's particularly happy about the way TMac was getting lucky against him...

If Allen gets Bruce again then Bruce's is Allen's this season(50% shooting for the season and over 50% from 3 in 3 games) and that is it.

I don't think Bruce Bowen is going to let himself becomes somebodies .

I think Bruce shuts Allen's ass down this time on a set of rested legs, I think he has a good offensive game... and I think we win this game.

The Sonics are on the back of a back-to-back. Ray Allen scored 22 tonight but shot pretty crappy (8-for-21??) and didn't look good at all in the first half. Their game before this, he shot something like 7-for-20 from the floor. So he's not shooting that well in the past two games, though he's still getting his points.

Bowen needs to own Allen in this game. He was really in Ray's head last year and, like Whottt mentioned, now it seems the tables are reverse. I want stellar D from Bowen on Ray, plus I want Bowen to score at least 14 of his own.

Now Rashard is a game time decision. I hope he's out.

Spurs -- G Devin Brown (disk injury) and F Tim Duncan (sprained right ankle) are on the injured list. Sonics -- F Rashard Lewis (bruised right foot, tendinitis left knee) is a game-time decision; F Danny Fortson is not with the team; F Vladimir Radmanovic (stress fracture, right fibula) and G Mateen Cleaves (thumb) are on the injured list.

The Sonics really need Lewis, especially with Radmanovic out. Lewis brings scoring, three-point shooting, the occasional post move and length. At least Damien Wilkens has been huge the past couple of games, and can help offset the loss. But if Lewis and Radmanovic are both out, the Sonics are missing a lot of depth.

I expect Allen to put up his usual points, maybe even big points, don't know how many shots it will take him to do that though.

Yeah Rashard Lewis causes huge matchup problems for us. For him to be out would be a huge bonus, Manu at 6'6 isnt exactly properly equiped to handle him....

Woah! I forgot about LJIII would be an opportunity to test him out against a matchup we have yet to find a suitable defender.

Regardless still hope he misses the game we can use everything at the moment.

Ridnour and Collison are playing very good ball. They are carrying Seattle with all their injuries.

AD played last night but he was not 100%.

Rasho can handle James pretty much, and Bruce can take care of Allen.

TP is quick enough to hadle Ridnour, so I am looking for a Spurs win by 10-15 pts.

Collison is very imprssive for a rookie, going to have a very good NBA career. He just knows how to play basketball. He rebounds, he hustles, he blocks out, he's got the size and will to bang inside with anybody.

Bruce is the main reason we won this game.

To get to the line, you have to penetrate. Bowen wasn't having any of that, and was smart enough not to foul him "in the act". That would leave only penalty situations.

Allen was also whining about Fortson not being there, and if he had been, Tony would be put "on his butt" when he went into the lane. What a biznatch.

This thread needed to be bumped again just to point out that Bruce Bowen totally owned Ray Allen's ass last night. Bruce won this game for us.
