Ummm no thanks. Why would you even want that to happen?
Its up to Ariza if this will happen.![]()
Ummm no thanks. Why would you even want that to happen?
I really think they should replace fisher. He is going to be the teams weakness next year.
You wouldn't want a premier defender like Artest?
Really Artest is a nut, abeit a tough one, but he can ruin team chemistry. A lesser of the two evils type problem...especially if he doesn't get the contract he wants.
He didn't ruin the team's chemistry in Houston last season, if I remember correctly. I thought he was quieter and stayed out of the spotlight.
Grant Hill, he took the vets minimum in Phoenix, I hope LA can get him for that. I really want Hill to be a Laker
Believe or not, Artest > Ariza.
You can have artest, I'd like L.A to have another chucker.
Artest is a good defender but it's not as if Ariza sucks in that department either. On the other hand Artest takes dumb shots and can disrupt ball movement when he holds the ball too much on offense. We don't need that, especially in the triangle. Ariza is younger, is a great fit for the team and is a good teammate. Not to mention the fact that he is still very young and growing as a player and we don't have to worry about him doing or saying some crazy . You don't take huge risks with a championship teams chemistry just for the of it.
so whut if Ariza leaves? You want Walton as a starter?
How enlightening to see that this is stupid season for Laker fans too.
When did I say that? Go back and read how the conversation unfolded. I said "why would you want that?" And then explained that Trevor is a better fit for us than Artest.
I've seen what Kobe's done to his teammates when they weren't doing too well, I know FOR SURE Artest isn't going to be taking any of that stuff from Kobe. I think this would really mess up the Lakers' team chemistry.
I never said that you said that. Im asking you a question.
If for some reason we weren't able to resign Ariza then yes going after Artest with the MLE should be an option. I don't think it will happen though. Trevor will be back.
I agree with this. Artest is a good player but he's on his own agenda too much. If Ariza for some reason did leave LA. I would go for it.
Please let this happen. Artest looked done. He looked very rigid and slow and he still takes very bad shots.
Sheesh..thats what my original post was about =P
I worry if Phil could handle Artest at this point in his career. I know he's done it in the past with Rodman and Williams and its possible he can do it with Artest. Phil may be too old for that now.
meh. it could happen but it won't be enough to get past the Diesel and the King.
You people need a real center more than you need a star wing or a new point guard.
Whether or not you think Bynum is going to get any better it's pretty hard to argue there are any significantly better options out there.
