you're not going to miss him for a long time, don't worry
I love the trade, but damn, I'm going to miss Bruce
Thank you for your dedication, professionalism, craftiness and badassness
I like to think of the 2007 playoffs as Bruce's best performance:
- he had to defend Steve Nash, Hill, Chris Paul, Peja Stojakovic, Deron Williams, Kirilenko and LBJ, and did a fantastic job
- he also made a bunch of clutch shots
you're not going to miss him for a long time, don't worry
He'll be back.
He's probably getting cut and coming right back. I wouldn't cry for him yet.
Not to mention that Kobe guy too.
Props to the last guy who will ever wear #12 for the Spurs.![]()
I think Bruce will be back next season. Milwaukee doesn't want an over-the-hill SF, they want salary cap space.
We want our over-the-hill SF, dammit.![]()
Bruce Bowen Come Back!!
I won't say bye to Bowen unless he gets cut and the Spur refuse to sign him.
Oh, I didn't know Bruce was in the last year of his contract
F... Yes !!!!
He ain't done yet... he'll be back this year for another run or two...
He will be back in 20 days.
He's coming back. Bowen is too old for the Bucks to keep.![]()
Yeah but he'll be 20 days older
Not to be a nitpicker, but the Spurs did not face Paul and Peja in the 2007 playoffs. They faced Denver, Phoenix, Utah, and Cleveland. They faced the Hornets in 2008, the year the Spurs lost to the Lakers in the WCFs. Bowen did spend time guarding Carmelo and Iverson however.
holy if this is true then... yeah
Never the less whoever he guards in the playoffs their PPG from the regular season suddenly drops. I remember them showing the averages of everyone he guarded one time during the playoffs and it was crazy
You are right
Either way, he was effing awesome considering all the assignements
This is actually the best thing that can happen for Bruce..
we get a very good offensive player that will make up for Bowen's lack of offense, allowing him to play a bigger role than last season, at least IMO..
we shouldn't have to worry about our offense with TP, Manu, RJ and Timmy on the team..now back to focusing on the D..
The Bucks expect to save $6.35 million next season after releasing Bowen (only $2 million guaranteed) and Oberto (only $1.9 million guaranteed), a source told ESPN.com.
Bruce Bowen is coming back.
Sorry Bowen haters.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Fab come back as well. The Spurs still need bodies at PF/C and Fab could probably be had for league min.
Bruce was a huge part of the 03, 05 and 07 championships and I wish him well. He's also becoming an active part of the business community hear in SA, so he'll be back here in time.
Love to Fab and Kurt! You guys always gave it your all.
