The Cleveland Cavaliers have reached an agreement in principle to acquire Phoenix Suns center Shaquille O’Neal(notes), a league source told Yahoo! Sports late Thursday night.

Cleveland will send Ben Wallace(notes), Sasha Pavlovic(notes), the 46th pick in Thursday’s draft and cash to the Suns for O’Neal.

I'm kinda glad the Mavs missed out on Shaq. I think there are better big man targets than him. I certainly would take him over Erick Dampier, but I'd rather have Emeka Okafor than Shaquille O'Neal at this point. The Bobcats have got to be enticed by bringing home Stack, saving $$ on him and shedding Damp's contract in 2010.
