replace "win" with "when"
Kobe retire, laker is doom
kobe retire, it's cool cause pau can take the load
replace "win" with "when"
The Lakers have been the most consistant franchise in arguably all of sports (maybe 2nd to the Yanks). They have survived a deparature from West, Wilt, a sudden retirement from Magic, Kareem, a sudden trade of this generations most dominant player, an absolute off-season of when their franchise player demands a trade. If they have proven anything over the years - it's that Jerry Buss knows how to win.
You can make an arguement that Jim is not qualified and this franchise could suffer - but with LA's built-in advantages I highly doubt that.
i think the coaching situation will have a bigger effect on the laker situation than what happens to kobe. after all, the del harris-led lakers were swept in the first round, and that team had van exel, eddie jones, kobe, shaq, horry.
the lakers couldnt even make the playoffs in the season that phil jackson took off.
Mikan, Baylor, West, Wilt, Kareem, Magic, Shaq, Kobe, [future superstar]
The Lakers will be the Lakers long after Kobe is retired. Sorry!

What have the Bulls won since MJ retired? Nuttin. Except in LA it would probably be easier to get a winning team back if Kobe retired. You can't replace the legacy left by Michael Jordan, so the Lakers at least have that going for them that Kobe as good as he is will always play second fiddle to MJ.
we are the lakers. we will find ways to win.
i lol'ed when i saw "kobe retire, it's cool cause pau can take the load"
son this is false. L.A. is way too profitable of a market for Stern to allow this to happen. the Lakers will suddenly be given a new, young, gifted star player who will be pushed through the roof and crammed down our throats by the NBA's creative writing crew and media.

more like "the day Phil Jackson retire, is the day the laker ain't winning no more"
11 les before him. I think the Lakers will be ok.
