    What you guys think of Francisco Elson.. good back up center! he play for spurs in past so he knows spurs system!

    This won't be a popular idea. However, Elson can run, he's tall and he's cheap. Could be a stop-gap measure while the Spurs pursue an in-season trade.

    Elson is not > Bonner. As much as we dislike Bonner as a starting caliber big, and he deffinitely is not, he's a much better player than Elson. And Mahinmi at least has upside.

    Disagree about Bonner, remains to be seen about Mahinmi. Neither of those comparisons matter though because it's about how Elson rates compared to everyone else the Spurs could pick up in free agency. And there's a lot of names ahead of his on that list.
