Dwyane Wade says that he'll stay in Miami for the long-term if the Heat can contend for the NBA le.

Wade, who can opt out of his contract next summer, said Monday that simply getting to the playoffs "is not enough" to satisfy him.

He can sign an extension as early as next week, but the guard wants assurance that the Heat will do what it takes to field a championship-caliber team.

    Wade to Chicago next year?

James and Wade would be dumb to sign extensions this summer becuase that will kill cap room for next year.

If the Cavs sign Bosh, then they can go over the cap to sign James. If they sign James first they cant sign Bosh. Same goes for Heat.

No they can't. James' 2009-10 salary counts 150% against the 2010-11 cap until he is either re-signed, renounced, or signs elsewhere. That loophole in the cap was shut down at least 10 years ago.

Wade should come to the Hornets. Chris Paul could use a second man.

I agree with rip, I have an imminent feeling bosh and wade are gonna play together in 10-11. Maybe not be in Miami, and definitly not in TO, but I just have a random feeling.

Also, out of all the superstars in 2010, I've always felt Wade was the most classy and honorable guy, and if the Heat do improve somehow (lol), he'll definitly stay.

So is Wade saying hes willing to become second fiddle?
    -_-

Not that Wade has ever led a team to a championship but he's more than capable of being the best player on a le team.

Wade needs to shut the up. If he's such a great player, then he shouldn't be demanding this . If he is an MVP type player and the next MJ like everyone labeled him as back in 2006 then he should be able to make the Heat contend for the le. Wait a minute, Wade can't. Wade is not a leader. He is and always be Penny Hardaway with a ring.

Miami should go after Boozer whom I'm pretty sure the Jazz are looking to dump. Seriously unless they plan on landing another big free agent, let's say Bosh in 2010 to play alongside Wade, no way he stays.

Look at Miami and their cap space for 2010 off season. You will be shocked. They can sign Wade and Bosh, still have Beasley, Chalmers, sign a decent center and small forward and they can contend for years.
