Former NBA star faces Las Vegas casino debt
Former NBA star Antoine Walker is facing criminal charges over $822,500 in gambling debts to three Las Vegas casinos.
Do ents provided Tuesday by the Clark County district attorney accuse the 32-year-old Walker of three felony counts of writing bad checks. Prosecutors say he failed to make good on 10 checks totaling $1 million written to Caesars Palace, Planet Hollywood and the Red Rock Resort.
Walker’s agent and a lawyer in Las Vegas didn’t immediately respond Tuesday to messages.
Prosecutor Bernie Zadrowski told the Las Vegas Sun that Walker repaid $178,000 of the debts incurred last July to January.
Walker last played for the Minnesota Timberwolves in 2008. He was an All-Star with the Boston Celtics and won an NBA championship in 2006 with the Miami Heat.
For some reason he reminds me of Charles Barkley with a ring.
Do you even remember Charles Barkley before he came to Houston?
, even old Charles should be insulted by that comparison.
He's only 32. Dude's game declined rather early.
I miss this guy. Such a fun player to root for and to watch. Had the heart of a champion.![]()
I meant the gambling habits, of course not his game.
Don't know, guess because they both have/had weight problems and Barkley was the first to come to mind being a Rocket fan.
"Why are you always doubling down?"
"Because you can't triple down."
I can't tell if you are being sarcastic or not, but watching AW was one of my guilty pleasures. I loved watching him play.
How do you get a gambling debt? Don't you pay your money in up front?
Planet Hollywood??
If you're going to gamble your life away, at least do it with a fancy suit on and in a classy establishment.

ROFL no ing way.
Edit: Lol, just googled that . He is only 32.
Doesn't he have the lowest career 3pt % based off number of attempts or some like that?
Probably Walker will sell his ring in order to cover his debt, even though it doesn't actually belong to him and the 06 Miami Cheat who are totally illegal possessors of the gold rings.
He probably ain't getting a dime selling his Mavericks jersey.
Was just about to post something along these lines.
Time for him to put that 2006 ring on ebay, except the winning bid will end up being $86.
Why do you shoot so many treys?
“Because there are no four pointers.”
