I hope Pop starts Finley on opening night. With any luck some of you Finley-obsessed morons will have heart attacks, if not flat out offing yourselves.
Only if RJ isn't quite ready according to what Pop thinks. There is no way a healthy RJ comes off the bench.
I doubt he would start in front of Mason. I think Mason showed last year he was better off as a starter than coming off the bench. Finley is not that bad. If he were to start, I'd hope he would come out after about five minutes and never see the court again until the start of the 3rd quarter.
He did say in his interview that Finley was starting to look more and more like Steve Kerr.. What did Steve Kerr do at the end of his career?
I would say unless there is a set of injuries, there is about a .00000000000001 percent chance of him starting.
if Pop want Manu to come of the bench, Finley will start - he is 10 times better player than Mason and Bogens not quite ready to start.

Also hope Mason plays the backup PG. Then at the end of the game Pop could give two thumbs up for all 14 year old spurstalkers.
I would say finley will fill the Steve kerr role. If mason is off and certain things arrise finley will get minutes. He's definately not as bad as the above poster says "the 14 year old posters" make him out to be...
Exactly. Fin has still got some big shots in him, but with the talent we have this year there's no way he should start. Him, Manu, Hill and Blair off of the bench ain't bad.

I won't be surprised if Fin starts, but I don't think he should.
Mason plays better if he starts games, and he's a better open shooter than Fin.
Fin shoots excellently when plays are drawn-up for him, which means he'd be better coming in off the bench for specific plays deeper into games.

I dont see why this is up for discussion. I would think the chances of that are somewhere between slim and none. But eh, whatev Pop wants.

Starting Finley instead of Jefferson would be a slap in the face to the FO. It is like buying someone a pickup truck and watch them proceed to keep using a wheelbarrow.

Pop should do it to start the season like he started the season off with a hack-a-Shaq last year..
I would laugh and know that when it really matters, manu, mason or RJ or even hill will be in the game.
