There's always next month.
I think this is such a load of crap. Some of the people who get this award where I work at don't deserve it.

There's always next month.
Sometimes rewards like this are given to people who under perform to their believed potential as a hope that it will perk them up enough to increase production.
I always thought they were "who's more popular" contests.![]()
I think it's a little of both. I agree with you PS on the people that get it here.

Ultimately it doesn't matter. The people you work with are worthless pieces of .
You got that right!![]()
Not all of them ...

we have same thing here, we have employees who cheat on their time cards or dont know how to do their job correctly and win recognition awards!
dont know why, i am the only one who sees it, but :wgaf:
i just do enough not to get fired......![]()
Unfortunately awards like this are too often used in an attempt to motivate mediocre employees...The employees that have the hook deeply buried in the corner of their mouth and give it 110% because they are self motivated are frequently overlooked in these kinds of awards because they "don't want to keep giving it to the same one/s every month" and the "good employees don't need the motivation"...
I'd vote for you ...

At West the only motivation behind Employee of the month/quarter/whatever was the parking spot in front of the building you worked in. Otherwise it was pointless.
you gotta spread to get ahead, panda.
I wouldn't do that. I guess that saying is true though, "It's not who you know, but who you blow".
I got this award weekly.
I'm sure you know that from personal experiences.

i only have exit points.
employee of the month is like getting an 8th place trophy in your 3rd grade spelling bee.
We got an all-expense paid trip for two to DisneyWorld at the Yacht & Beach Club. And I didn't deserve it, either.![]()
did the person who win it look the best
