yeah, beck was pretty bold to speak his mind. probably very few people on air that can do that, but he lays it out pretty good.

judging from that exchange, I don't see the inconsistency.
Beck is good at throwing out something inflammatory and then immediately saying "I don't know" and backpedaling a bit.

I wouldn't say he's "good" at it, I'd just say he "frequents" this strategy and while doing so, hurts the Conservative cause much more then helping it.
He's an entertainer. It's his job to say stupid and piss people off. Beck, O'Reilly, Rush, and Olberman are the news equivalents of Andy Kaufman.
...true, but a lot of people take them seriously...Olberman can get crazy, probably from his ESPN days, but he packs more truth into one show than all the wing-nuts on WOAI combined can fit in a day...
For me, it's his really bad attempts at comedy and annoying voices that make me dislike him more than any ideological differences.
It's like he's trying to be the conservative equivalent of the Colbert Report and it falls flat.

that stuff works on the radio because its just one guy in a room who has to fill 3 hours of airtime with SOMETHING, but seeing it on TV just makes me cringe.

Beck is goofy and not too bright. Rush is the leader of that gang, and no matter if you like him or not, he's a smart cat.
Glenn Beck needs to lay off the benadryl. His comment about Obama hating white people was an epic fail. Obama's mom was white and his grandparents that helped him raised were white too. I'm pretty sure Obama doesn't hate white people. I do think that Obama panders a lot when it comes to black crowds and white crowds. When he's around black people, he acts like he's a brother from south central LA and when he's around white people, he acts like he's a yuppie from suburbia.
