So what bigs does that leave Dallas with again? Dirk, Dampier, Gooden, and during small ball, Marion. Who are the others?
Mavs Not Expected To Match Offer For Hollins
The Timberwolves have signed restricted free-agent center Ryan Hollins to an offer sheet.
The terms of the deal aren't yet known. The Mavericks will have seven days to match Minnesota's offer, but they are not expected to do so.
Dallas owner Mark Cuban went as far as to congratulate Hollins using his Twitter page on Monday: "congrats to ryan hollins. wish him the best w twolves."

The season is over for the mavs now
they let go of the best defender on duncan
we will add our 17 division le
while mavs are still looking for there 3rd
spurfans think this guy not being on the Mavs will make any impact.
and mavs fans think bloated contracts for shawn marion and jason kidd won't have a negative impact.![]()
lol yeah Hollins is the big key. STFU dummy homer.![]()
Yeah because Kidd and Marion aren't good players.
Your sarcasm senses must be quite poor.
mavs have never been a factor and there only sucess is beating the spurs while there injured
spurs will breeze but the mavs with the depth the spurs havent had ever and we still have the mavs number
12>11
ha
what language is that?
sorry your mom had me distracted![]()
i'm not happy about losing hollins.
we would be better with him than without.
i thought he had a lot of potential. We have a serious predicament at the center position for next season. Dampier will be gone and Gooden is definitely not the answer.
it will be interesting what we do
Right now, Mavs have only one player able to defend the rim with Dampier. I wonder if they will do a move for another true center. Buckner's contract is a quite nice trade asset. I would be surprised to see Cuban not using it.
how will it be interesting?
i think we'll just get another dose of "we like our team".
To be honest I liked Hollins.
But not a lot. Its a non issue, but the Mavs could use an athletic big. But at the end of the day its not a big deal.
We're gonna wait till day 7 then match, totally screwing Minnesota! That'll make up for that whole Gortat thing!
and honestly I think this losing Hollins will have a bigger impact than most other Mavs fans. The guy wasn't great, but he played with a lot of energy and heart, neither of which exist in Dampier. There were times where you could see even guys like Dirk feeding off of Hollins' energy.
But then again, he's also not the third coming of Bill Russell Diop as Spurs fans might believe he is. Dallas backup centers just have a knack for owning Tim Duncan, that's all, they're really not that good.

The Mavs just got slightly less dirty.
match the offer and give him more minutes.
