Blah!
I'm not into hip-hop so I won't be listening.
Now I have to change the button in my car to a different station, again...ugh!
In case anyone cares, 106.7 has now flipped formats for the hundreth time. This dial has never been consistant just like one of those restaurants that's changes all the damn time in town. Sounds good from what I've heard so far. We'll see how it holds up with 98.5. What do yall think so far?

Go figure right? Why can't this city ever get something different like an alternative rock station (and no 99.5 Kiss isn't alternative) like 101x in Austin? It seems like everytime they put something new on it's the same in thing.
This new station won't last, it'll sound exactly like 98.5 and eventually change format, again.
Sorry bling, I like rock music!!!
So what a ya think so far bling?
Yea
i can't tell you what i think because i don't live in SA.
The only way I see alternative coming to sa would be in the form of an HD channel, but of course you'd have to have an HD radio to pick up the "hidden channels". I just can't see anything rock side by side with the "almighty" 99.5 Kiss.
interesting, ill have to check it out
or like 94.5 The Buzz Houston-Galveston
Or like The Edge 102.3 in Dallas. We're like the only "big city" that doesn't and has never had an alternative. What's up with that ? Do they not think that we san antonians not like alt rock and that we are all engulfed in 99.5 Kiss? Or is it because we are seen as not a "college town" like austin and other big cities and percieve us like a "la familia small town"? I've always wanted to know why we're always getting ripped off.
i kinda like austins hot 93.3 better than SAs hiphop channels
101x has sucked for well over a decade.
XM or SIRIUS can solve all your problems.
It sounds pretty good to me.
They're streaming live on their site:
http://power1067fm.com/
10,000 songs in a row without commercial interruption.
Yeah, we are listening to it too. So far, they have good song selection.
Yup, I gottem both too. Also look to get an HD radio down the line when the price falls a little bit. Those will give you better sound than satellite plus you'll get hidden channels which will most likely have newer formats, better variety, and few to non commercials.
ya, my dad bought me a little $30 dollar Sirius receiver for my truck last Christmas. Since then I rarely listen to the local radio stations anymore.![]()
hip hop blows.
I know who their target audience is but the ghetto promos are annoying. Also I'm kinda glad they dumped the guy with the lisp. I give it 6 months because not even the money at Clear Channel could put up a station that rivaled The Beat, anyone remember Hot 92.5?
