PRESENTATION
SPORT DANCE
Sport dance is an attractive dance style with specific dynamic and fast motions, with visual effects and interesting jumps. Therefore it is suitable for a variety of events. The Dragonladies choreographs are distinctive; they keep all the sport dance characteristics and add an individual show style.
HISTORY
The dance squad formed in 1997 after coach and choreograph Irena Trobec arrived from USA where she visited several dance camps. Best sport dancers of Slovenia where gathered up for their first performance on Streetball in August that same year.
1997/1998
Their first season The Dragonladies became the dance group of Slovenia’s most successful basketball team Smelt Olimpija and also preformed at other important basketball events in their country (for national basketball team, Slovenian All-Stars). They took gold at Slovenia’s first National Championship and won the le European Champions 98’ (Sweden, Malmo).
1998/1999
The Dragonladies became the exclusive dance squad of basketball team Union Olimpija. While still performing at visible basketball events, they spread their dancing skills to other sports (handball, football) and other events (fairs, promotions, sponsorship performances). They win their National Championship.
1999/2000/2001
Keeping all the previous performances, the Dragonladies start dancing abroad (Croatia – National team, All-Stars, Italy). Again they take the gold in their National Championships.
2001/2002
This season started as a breakthrough year. In September they were given a chance to show their dancing skills at Euroleagues first Opening Tournament in Ljubljana. In November dancers were part of Slovenia’s winning national team in World Championship in Japan (Tokyo). The golden national team was choreographed and coached by the Dragonladies coach Irena Trobec. Besides dancing at various events in Slovenia and Croatia they win at their National Championship 2002 and become European Champions 2002 in July in Helsinki.
In April they preformed at the Goodyear’s league (Adriatic league) Final Four. But their biggest dream come true was to be invited and to dance at Euroleagues Final Four 2002 in Bologna.
TODAY
The group consists of 13 girls, but the number of dancers varies from 5 to 12, depending on the event. A lot of work is needed for enthusiastic performances and good achievements; therefore they practice four times a week.
After five years of performances, practices and dancing together, the dancers are best friends, but most importantly a hard working and a creative team.

not what i expected when i read the le dragon ladies....but good stuff man...dibbs, center-left.
2 or 3 of those girls are named Ursa, that must be a common name in Slovenia. At any rate, they're all HOT!!
We got much more, a lot of girls like that.
