Ex's are absolute gold if you're doing an investigation into someone. I'd say 8/10 times they'll drop bombs and all you gotta do is ask. ... sometimes you don't even have to ask. I've actually seen a woman who wanted to get her cheating husband fired so bad that she was willing to give up any financial assistance he'd be able to provide through child support (he was making a lot of money, and with no job she'd be getting a pittance from him) as long as he was giving the boot. This is not true. I am NOT a vengeful person at all---it's too much work, I'm basically very lazy and it requires much less energy to just walk away from an unpleasant situation.
