Now they will be able to be beat by the pick and roll on either wing.
Not a good move IMO.
It's not too often that you see a team put two seven-footers on the floor together but that's apparently what the Cleveland Cavaliers are planning to do, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
Cavs coach Mike Brown didn't do it much in the preseason but he's reportedly experimenting with the idea of having his two seven-footers, Shaquille O'Neal(notes) and Zydrunas Ilguaskas, playing simultaneously. His initial plan is to put them out there together for four minutes and see what happens.
Doesn't sound like a pleasant point in the game to park yourself under the Cavs basket, does it?

Cavs have used this in game already and it's resulted in 2 losses.
It's not worked well for them against faster frontcourts because Shaq & Z can't keep up with them and at the same time, they can't defend the pick and roll.
I guess nobody watched opening night when they did it for much of the 3rd quarter
If my math is right if Minny's coach calls a 4-5 pick and roll the world as we know it will cease to exist.
Z is a piece of ...he is worthless out there.
It's just the coach acting the ass. Like Karl in Denver. You think he'd just grant on this Lawson kid and leave him be. Uh, uh. He'll micromanage him to death.
Brown is a ty coach with the best player in the game to cover up his tiness.
