A lot of women love these books. I'm also pretty sure a lot of the tweens (or women in general) will also think that men should be like this Patterson guy and that will construe their view of men.
Just my opinion.
So...I'm not a crazed Twilight. I haven't done/seen/bought/read anything involving the series. I never understood it. Until I picked up the first book to read on Monday while at Wal-Mart (what the am i going to do while I'm unemployed? I already watched all of Beverly Hills 90210 and The OC the last go around...). And omg. So totally in love with the idea of the book and series. Shoot me now. That Robert Pattison is a babe. He can bite me any day.

Wow...you know I've been on here a while when I saw 90210 and thought she was talking about me for a second, until I read the post.
So predictable. So easy
I read the books at the behest of my wife. She told me that there was no way that I wouldn't like it. I absolutely hated it. I don't understand what all the hype is about with this series.
Maybe it's a guy thing or something. I think the book is far too cliche to take seriously.
1. Boy meets girl.
2. Boy falls in love with girl.
3. Girl finds out boy is vampire.
4. Girl wants to become vampire to be with boy.
5. Boy bites girl and makes her a vampire.
That is basically it, only with werewolves thrown in every now and then. Guessed the outcome of the whole book just by looking at the types of people reading it. Mostly females.
So that's a yes?
attractive guy gets stalks plain looking chick, plain looking. chick somehow pulls a different guy who isn't ugly. Plain looking chicks everywhere think this is now some magical norm where men ignore their plainliness. I'm sorry but where i come from the only reason an attractive guy goes out with a plain looking chick is if she puts out.
Women love vampires because they dress nicely, are usually cultured/suave/debonair, and have zero interest in poking them.

I think I'm one of very few girls who just refuse to read the books. I watched the movie when it came out on DVD simply because a friend of mine bought it and I wanted to see what all the fuss was about.
On the other hand, I do enjoy seeing Taylor Lautner run around naked. Even though he's 17...
Crappy writing style, way too simple. The kind that makes you want to skip sentences.
