The critics are tough on the men in black here on SpursTalk. Tonight's game could be a good barometer of how true (or hopefully false) the critics are.

I need to see energy at this point, specifically some tenacious D. Arms flailing on D, ball poking on D, alot of help D even if it results in a blocking foul. I need to see some D. I'm going to set my sights low and not worry about execution or even the W, but i have to see that they want it.

This team 'probably' has the most new significant additions of any team this year, so chemistry will come, but you can't teach energy.

(I obviously didn't use enough flags last night, so I vowed to correct that problem.)

Jefferson should stop looking for his own shot, Parker stop dribbling the ball too much, and let's tighten up the D.

Odds that Mahinmi, Hairston or Haislip are in street clothes tonight? I'm gonna say 99%.

Coincidentally those are the same odds I'm giving for Fin and Bonner to be in the starting lineup once again.

    Hoping for 1%...and a WIN!

Win/Loss is the last thing we should worry at this point. What we need to see is the following

    - Effort, Energy, Commitment to D
    - Can we have some defensive swagger please......
    - Correct and timely decision making and cut turn overs

Once we get the D right, offense will come. Lets hope we see atleast few strides in the right direction.

Winning against Kings and beaten down Hornets doesnt matter. We need to show that we can play against a quality opponent to gain some faith in ourselves. Here is to the Spurs three E's (Energy, Effort & Efficiency)

    GO SPURS GO!!!

I do not care if the Spurs fall below .500. I think Pop really needs to shake up his rotation and starting lineup on the road. It seems to do fine at home, but for away games, it seems to just fall apart something fierce.

I hope they switch Mahinmi in For Bogans. Lets see what happens with him in the middle, especially against Portlands big's.

I don't let Spurs games ruin my nights anymore. I have a wonderful wife and a beautiful 10 yr old daughter...and they deserve the best from me, which is not possible if I am angry at a basketball game.

I agree, right after Ginobili was out for the final time last season I just gave up putting so much emotions into Spurs games. It was depression if they lost, not anymore. I enjoy the games a lot but I no longer put so much into their games. If we win great, if we lose that's fine go enjoy the rest of the evening.
