I feel like I am totally tweakin. I had one last smoke this morning, the last of my pack, been messed up ever since. I should have planned this out better so that my last one would be around 5 or 6 pm so that most of the tweak feeling could happen while I am sleeping.

yeah, Ive been there, but started smoking again after a couple months. I know how you feel, but having a big bag of candy with you makes it easier, by chewing all day you wont think about smoking so much anymore.

Dont think about what you should have planned, because its the same, if you did take your last one around 5 or 6 then you would have the same, but then the next morning, you would feel ed up.

Just, keep busy and chew on something all day, candy or nuts or something.

My dad quit smoking earlier this year after smoking for almost 37 years. Since then, he ALWAYS has candy with him. It's pretty awesome. We'll be out somewhere and he'll pull out a handful of jolly ranchers. I love jolly ranchers!

Have any of you guys tried that electronic cigarette yet? I heard from a friend of mine that it worked for him.

I have a bad habit of ice-chewing that is keeping me semi busy. Maybe I will go get some dried fruit or something. It is chewy and not horribly bad for me. Just a lot of sugar. I did this before and it was a snap, but that was because I smoked my last one about 7 hours before my daughter was born. Then stayed in the hospital with my wife for 3 days straight. The whole time I didn't have any kind of tweaking, though there was something much more important going on. Anyway, I started back up 7 mos later and it is now about a year and a half after that and decided I am almost 30, time to quit.

Ive never tried it, but I don't know, even if it tastes the same and even if it smokes for real, it's artificial, I think it would be strange to smoke that. But then again, ive never tried it

That is not necessarily supposed to help you quit, though I have heard people have tried to do so using it. It is just an alternative to cigarettes. It is only nicotine that you inhale and as you exhale all you exhale is water vapor, so you could smoke on planes, inside, etc. It is cheaper overall than cigs too.

I quit smoking almost 6 years ago. I never want to smoke again...but I dream about it about every 3 months or so. It's so real that when I wake up, I'm pissed at myself. But then I realize I was only dreaming. I took Wellbutrin to help but didn't take it for very long. What really helped me, believe it or not, was quitnet.com. I posted on there like a fiend, day and night--everyone was quitting together and the more you post, the more you talk yourself into really getting it right this time.

Good luck! You're doing the absolute best thing for your health, but also for your daughter's! It really only sucks for a few days (hardcore) then starts to get easier after the nicotine is gone from your system.

I tried a few months back and even got a prescription for Chantix but no dice. The pills gave me bad headaches. I didn't like how it made me feel so I stopped taking the Chantix and took to Joe Camel again like we had never parted. I don't smoke as much as I used to. At one point I was at almost a pack a day.

I used Chantix for about 7 of the 12 weeks the program lasts for ... quit taking it for crazy-ass dreams and no sleep. But it was long enough to get the nicotine out of my system and train me to get nauseated by the mere smell of it ... and I can smell it from a mile away.

The only thing that helped me quit was buying cigs that I hated. I would buy packs of filter less or Marlboro Reds so that even when I did want one, they sucked so bad that I wouldn't touch them. Eventually I just started smoking less and less until I ended up with with a full un-opened pack that I still have to this day. Good luck quitting, it's quite a struggle.

Chantix made them all taste like I imagine a dirty horse's ass would taste like ... so even though I still want one everyday, I can easily imaging puking my guts out on the first drag.

That's the same effect the Wellbutrin had on me. So nasty, plus I had myself convinced that I was going to have a heart attack with the very next drag I took. Fear and taste of dirty goat's ass combined for a very powerful deterrent.

Driving into the gas station and seeing the SALE price of Marlboro's at $4.75 is pretty off-putting as well. Yikes!
