    It's obviously a big "if" at this point, but IF the Spurs were to win the le this year, it would be absolutely freaking hilarious to see what a complete lack of Lakers fans we would suddenly have on Spurstalk.

    Then they would magically reappear next season bantering about how the Spurs are finished and x and x were injured so the Spurs had an easy run.

    Plus Spurstalk would probably crash from all the trash talking that would commence.

    I should have stopped reading after "IF the Spurs were to win the le this year" cause no way in that happens but what came after that sounded a lot like Spurfan this past year.

    So I took a sample of the NBA Champions and cataloged their first 10-games. I went until I found a team that was under .500. The 1977-78 Washington Bullets were the last NBA Champions to start a season under .500 after 10 games (4-6). They hold the distinction of being the worst regular-season team to win a Championship (44-38).

    If Spursfan would be like Lakerfan:

    Injuries. Tony Parker is simply not a starter in any other team in the league. I mean, he's french. Ginobili, even when healthy, is just a bench guy.

    But we're not insecure es like Lakerfan: We will make the playoffs.
    We can revisit this thread at the end of the season.
