The OP seems a very creative and gifted storyteller (and a good writer), but I found this story over-baked. Lots of potential, but it dragged on for so long that lost entertaining value, IMO. Lovely done still, very Poe-esque.

Now, the follow-up comments... pure gold (seek professional help! serial killer! can't be a doctor! suicidal! freak! not normal! disturbed and feeling bad for him!).
