Spurs guard/forward Michael Finley will miss two to four weeks with a Grade 2 left ankle sprain. A San Antonio spokesman announced the time table on Tuesday.
Finley is averaging 5.2 points in 18.3 minutes per game this season.


Get well soon, Finley. Your veteran presence and leadership is needed on the Spurs.

Anyway, Mason and Ginobili will easily absorb Fin's minutes and maybe those two can get into a rhythm (no more injuries please).

This prognosis makes it a little more clear why they decided to bring Hairston back up. That move doesn't make a lot of sense if Finley is going to miss "a few games." It makes a heck of a lot of sense if Finley is going to miss two to four weeks.
