The only time Bowen has missed games as a Spur was back in the 2001-2002.
He suffered a broken right middle finger at Boston on 1/29 … missed the next 23 games and the Spurs were 11-12 without him in the line-up (versus 47-12 in games he did play).
Appreciate him. And everybody better be knocking on wood.

Bruce Bowen is a very special player who is often overlooked because of the more spectacular play of Tim, Manu and Tony. I hope he gets the defensive player of the year award this is a guy who has deserved better in the last 3 years when it comes to post season honors, in the meantime he does his job incredibly well.

Absolutly amazing considering this guy plays all out every game and has been playing a starters share of minutes. Bruce is da man.
