It's a lot more even than people think. I'd take Dwight over Amare but you can only be a "future franchise big man" for so long. If after all this time Dwight hasn't taken that next step, he never will.

The other's defense is extremely overrated. Great help defender/weak side defender, abysmal 1 on 1 post defender.

A year back, I'd think it would be a steal for the suns, but watching Dwight last night, he has not developed at all. I still love the guy, but Amare can attack you from more spots offensively, and while horrible on D, is showing some improvement in rebounding. I'd still sign off on such a trade, but I wouldn't feel like I was scewing over Orlando.

I mean for s sake, Phoenix kept him in check, THE MOTHER ING PHOENIX SUNS KEPT HIM IN CHECK!!!! He should have 30 points and 20 rebounds against this front line.

If they kept going to him, he would have kept scoring..he's ignored far too often by their perimeter players..

Howard can't be overrated, because everybody still criticizes him for what he lacks..his game is helped a lot with Nelson on the team, which will be obvious when he returns..

Howard is the best rebounder and best defender in the NBA..that's enough value to make him the best C in the NBA, and comparing him to Amare is a huge insult..

I can't really say he's over-rated as he is still the best Center.

But the Center spot is over-rated right now because there are alot of ty Centers.

Shaq in his prime would have dropped 40 a night on all these dudes.
