The Spurs, despite their injuries and all the talk about the Suns by everyone, are still the odds on favorites to win the WC.

Here are the odds as of today. Anyone want to bet on any of these?

Dallas Mavericks 6-1 I bet $30 on this just because the odds looked too good to pass up.

    Denver Nuggets 12-1

    Houston Rockets 12-1

    Memphis Grizzles 75-1

    Phoenix Suns 2-1

    Sacramento Kings 22-1

    San Antonio Spurs 7-5

    Seattle Supersonics 22-1

Here are some of my bets today:

    1)
    Future Wager 04/23/05 09:06 ET
    30.00/180.00 Result: Pending
    2004/2005 NBA Western Conference
    Dallas Mavericks 06/01/05 (12:00 ET)
    6-1

I know, know, blasphemy and all that, but if my Spurs do not make it, I want AJ to get it.

    2)
    Future Wager 04/23/05 09:04 ET
    10.00/100.00 Result: Pending
Nuggets vs Spurs - Margin of Victory (Game 1)
Spurs Win By 13-15 Pts 04/24/05 (20:05 ET)
    10-1

This one is a good one. I think the Nuggets will be wide eyed today and the Spurs will blow them out. So I got pretty good odds 10-1 on this outcome for a small investment.

    3)
    Future Wager 04/23/05 08:59 ET
    10.00/10.00 Result: Pending
$10 Free Bet - Player to Record More Points on Sunday
    Dwyane Wade -1 Points 04/24/05 (15:05 ET)
    1-1

    Free bet, WTF.

The last time I bet on an NBA game, I bet with my heart instead of my head in the 02 finals. Well, you can guess what happened. I actually put money on the sixers in 02. The lady at the sports book was laughing but she told me she admired me for my guts.....more like wishful thinking.

I was pissed at my husband because he told me to do it, and then when I lost, he told me never to bet with my heart. We watched the game in the casino with about 1000 lakers fans, man did that suck.

Since the Spurs and Heat have identical records, who owns the tiebreaker if we meet in the NBA finals?

The spurs because they own the better conference record

spurs, the spurs have a better record against the eastern conference than the Heat do against the Western conference. that is what decides the tie breaker.

I don't think the Spurs are going to win it this year...just because of all the injuries and all the little things that add up. They will need TP and Manu backing up Duncan every night, with the help of Robinson and Barry and the rest of the bench.

If the Spurs went into the play-offs with how the team was looking half way through the season, then there would be no doubt in my mind that they would win it all.

Danny Sheridan's Las Vegas odds :

Spurs are 1-1 favorites to win the championship.

    Detroit is 2-1

    Miami is 7-2

    Phoenix is 5-1

I guess they do not give Phoenix a chance to win it in Finals against Detroit or Miami.

We still have pretty good chances. Duncan said he's about 80%, Brown might be back, Rasho will be back eventually (i think we will get past the first round), and Robinson and Nazr are VERY nice complements to the bench. It's not over until its over.

about 80%, he might be..., eventually...

We need a full strength Spurs team to beat Detroit in the finals.

IMO, Detroit is the toughest team to beat in the playoffs.

I agree but you never know what shape both teams will be in if we get to the finals. There's a lot of time between playoff games for Tim, Brown and Rasho to improve and who's to say the Pistons get to the finals healthy?

Like td4mvp21 said, it ain't over 'till it's over.
