Kaman is a solid player with a horrible contract...
Kaman is currently having his best year as a pro...19ppg, 9rebs, 2ast, 1.5blks. I've had a chance to watch him on a few occasions and he is really a solid big man with a nice all around game...showing nice post moves and good range. He's a decent defender too.
Just like Gasol, Kaman has been buried on a bad team for years. So the question is...could Kaman be the piece that puts a good team over the top? Say you put him Cleveland instead of Shaq, or put him beside Duncan in SA...or even in Denver, Portland, Miami, OKC or Utah. Is he the type of player that could have a Gasol type impact and make any of them serious contenders?
Kaman is a solid player with a horrible contract...
Actually in looking back...07-08 is probably his best year so far. You get the picture though.
He'd be nice to have but he's no Gasol.
This is a bit of a myth. His contract is actually market value or perhaps a little bit lower for a player of his caliber. He makes 10.4 mil this season, 11.3 the next and then 12.2 in 2011-12. Those are in the prime years of his career too.
Didn't say he was. The question was could he be the championship piece to a team that is one piece away...like the Lakers were.
Clippers are pretty far under the cap next year without trading anyone so I really don't see why they'd deal him. Gordon, Griffin, Kaman is a nice young core.
You gotta come up with names. Which team would he put over the top?
Is anyone actually going to answer the question?
Go re-read the OP.
id love the Nuggets to get him but he is too $$$
did he cut his hair yet?
sorry, dont remember the last time i watched a clippers game
Billups/AA/Melo/Nene/Kaman......
Ty/JR/Graham/K/Birdman.....
= contender
I think if you remove Kenyon Martin and add Kaman the Nugs are very close to a championship team.
if your team knew how to ing inbound the ball, you would have taken the lakers out last year
you had them by the nuts.
No, he couldn't. Hence the phrase "he's no Gasol".
The guy is extremely solid on offense, both the post game and the mid range. But his defense is suspect at best. He plays with Camby and the paint is still full of holes. For a guy that plays one end of the floor only, 12 mill is a bit too much, IMHO.
yeh, but who the heck would take Kmart?![]()
Kaman on the Mavericks would be pretty scary too.
You've been watching the Spurs low ball players for too long.![]()
Probably...![]()
son doesn't he also need to serve some jail time first before being qualified for the Nuggets? or at least get arrested or something.
His contract is only bad because he's injury prone.
