...based on this video if he can perform at this level night in and night out. He has to go and it looks like he still has some game left.

I'd take T-Mac for his expiring contract if Houston would take Tayshaun Prince, Jason Maxiell, and Kwame Brown in return. Doubt they would though. They have small forward covered and several undersized power forwards already. Replace Prince with Rip Hamilton, I'd be more hesitant but would probably still do it and Houston might bite at that.

T-Mac's the highest paid player in the NBA, it would take a uva alot of overpaid players and scrubs to make that deal just for a salary dump.

Yeah, put Rip in there and that is a done deal....Kevin Martin is who they are targeting, but he is more fragile than Yao and McGrady combined

Actually, they want a SG, or an all star caliber player in return for tmac...Now, your initial thought is that no one would be dumb enough to send back that type of player for T-mac, but come the trade deadline, teams who start to panic, (see Chicago Bulls) or other teams who are out of the race want his contract. Right now, his contract has more value than he does himself, but if he plays well, then that can only attract better offers, not hurt them. If they take an expiring back, it would be for a good player with whom they can sign to a long term extension, like Bosh, even though Morey implied Bosh is not the player he is looking for.

rockets said they didnt want jeffires cause it hurts 2010. i dont blame them but is the bulls offer of hinrich and maybe thomas good enough? cause it ruins 2010. i dont see any offers with legit talent. just a salary dump

Some team will bite...If not, then they'll let his contract expire rather than just making a salary dump

yea and he'll be the BIGGEST expiring coming off the books too.

I hope we hang on to him because it wil help us in the FA class next year.

Come midseason, tmac will be the hottest commodity in the league, for financial reasons of course.

He is overpaid, but it could be worse. (See Erica Dampier)

You're obsession with all things Mavericks is weird.

What's funny is, if Dampier was on the Rockets, he'd be their best center and probably best big.
