Oh, I thought with all the overrating, he would be averaging 30 points and 20 rebounds, along with 5 blocks. He is still underachieving.
Bynum is currently averaging 21 pts and 12 rebounds per game.
This is not a fluke. This is what EVERY single Laker fan has been saying for the past two seasons. Bynum can be a very good player in this league, easily an All-Star considering how few real centers we have in the game, provided he stays healty. Two fluke injuries have derailed what would have been breakout seasons for Bynum.
I'm just laughing right now at all you morons who kept on saying Bynum was trash, garbage, not a good player, and most importantly that Laker fans were delusional and overrating this guy.
We knew what the we were talking about. You didn't.
Oh, I thought with all the overrating, he would be averaging 30 points and 20 rebounds, along with 5 blocks. He is still underachieving.
Bynum and Chris Bosh are the only two guys in the league averaging 20 and 10. And if he snatches five more boards then Noah on Thursday he'll be leading the league in rebounding. I know it's early but still. Way to go Drew![]()
Exactly.
at the idiot Spur fans who keep sticking their feet into their fat mouths. First it was "Kobe can't win without Shaq", and then it was "Bynum is garbage". You clowns don't know what the you are talking about.
I thought he would be good this season, but he is well out-playing what I expected. Nice to see.
I gotta say I'd like him to work harder on defense, but you can't dispute his overall numbers this season.
He's always had the size and shooting touch. It was only a matter of time and staying healthy.
props to andrew but hes still not 100% confident when hes going for blocks & when he jumps..Barring injuries, he'll be beasting like a mother er in a month or two.
but would he be this good if decent centers were still playing?
I'd average 35 a game if i was his age.
They were just Laker haters that know nothing about basketball talent. Some questioned his durability and that was justified. The ones who said he was overrated as a player have all disappeared as they are preparing their crow for Thanksgiving dinner.
I'll do a search one day and list the many idiots and their quotes. I think I'll post it on All Star night when AB goes up for the jump ball to start the game.
His numbers will drop some when Pau returns... but us faithfiul all along pointed out that prior to Pau becoming a Laker he was dominant, prior to his injury last year he was showing the same promise, and now you are seeing just THE BEGINNING. He just turned 22. Bad news for all those Laker Haters indeed.![]()
hopefully he stays healthy
i like legit big men
agreed, 3 yrs ago i would wonder if he was already in the HOF by the likes of DR house and others talking about him. Its only befitting that he finally be good after so long...and he is GOOD. He seems more patient and doesn't have that arrogant asswipe KG" anger problem crap any more either.
People were just trying to give you the heads up. I mean he's 22 not 32![]()
Bynum is beastinn... but most Laker fans were so quick to trash Al Jefferson about how he was over rated because he didnt play any defense...
Bynum has been less than impressive defensively this season, yet you dont seem to worry about the other side of the ball all of a sudden.
Just sayin.
I've always thought he had potential to put up the numbers...my questions were more surrounding his durability. We'll see if he holds up.
Butthurt spurfan post
I'd just like to publicly state that I never doubted Bynum's emergence this year.
However, I did raise serious issues about the Faker bench, stating that the Fakers are top heavy and very thin on talent after their 7th man (Shannon Brown). At the time I was shouted down by that ad hominem junkie Purple and Gold, amongst others. I thought it would take until mid-season, but 10 games into the season and that thin bench has already been exposed to the wolves. You stand corrected.![]()
Durability is a concern, but not taking anything away from him he's beasting while Pau is out.
Check out Andrew Bogut then. I'm looking forward to he and Bynum matching up. Same with both of those guys against Lopez.
Sincerely,
Low Post Dinosaur aka Ruffy
Yep, Andrew Bogut is a smart player who tries to do all the little things to help his team. The second reason after Jennings that the Bucks are actually winning games right now.
Once other teams takes him seriously, he will become worthless again.
But he did have a great season so far. Numbers don't lie in most occasions.
See Memphis Grizzlies, Golden State Warriors and Toronto Raptors.
His numbers will be back to normal when Gasol comes back.
I have to give him props because when he entered the league it didn't look like he had the work ethic, but he has proven that he does.
It's a shame it's a guard's league nowadays, otherwise he could have been a difference maker. Durability is still a concern though.
