*** Kori pin this post at the top NOW hustle up***
Dawg who gives a about USA soccer..they aint compared to the big dogs around the world.
USA will beat England in the world cup, mark my words.
That's like saying the british basketball team can beat usa
there might be big dogs but only 3 teams keep winning world cups: Italy, Brazil and Germany
out of 18 world cups, those 3 have won 12
world cup. The same s keep winning.
my point is USA will never will one, but that is irrelevant cause 99% of countries will never win one either.
Italy/Brazil/Germany
No, in football is 100 times easier for less talented teams to pull an upset.
Besides
US Football team >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> England BB team
and
US BB team >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >> England football team
one more thing while we are on the subject. Besides those 3 teams. Only 2 teams have won it outside their homeland:
- Uruguay in Brazil: Look up the term Maracanazo = biggest upset in history of sports
- Argentina in Mexico: Maradona = best individual WC performance in history
while I am on a role. Do you know why Brazil plays so loose in WC??
because of the maracanazo. No Brazil defeat will ever match that, they have already taken the worst defeat in their history out of the way, who wouldn't play loose?
Yes, but usa suck so bad. There best players are scrubs in the premiership and when an old david beckham is (was) the biggest star in the american league then you've got a really bad national squad. I'm not saying england are gonna win (although it's our best chance since gazza and co choked against germany on penalties) but this england squad should sweep the group stage.
in group play? yes but in elimination games? no
I doubt that a game that took place a hundred years ago has any effect on current Brazilian players.
it does. I have spoken to brazilian soccer players, it's fresh in their memory.
Worst upset in history of sports.
Anything can happen in soccer, so I wouldn't count them out
Team USA is really compe ive when they are 100% healthy, they really impressed me in the Confederations Cup
USA beat Spain in the confederation cup, Spain >>>>> England, and make no mistake about it: Spain wanted to win that match badly, they wanted to play Brazil in the final to prove they are the best National squad in the world right now.
I'm not saying the US has a better squad than England, I just have a feeling.
Spain took USA lightly
I bet you that if they meet up again, Spain will beat the out of them
France will suck but they have Brazil and Spain numbers since the 80s (in official tournament)
The only USA players that have actually excelled in the EPL are goalkeepers.
I guess.. I'm still pissed at us not qualifying for the euro cup after hiring a dumbass coach. In the grand scheme of things there are only a few contenders but like you say upsets can happen
USA is the underdog. I think they will surprise alot. Dont underestimate em.
England has sucked over the recent years. They can't seem to play solid together as a team nor do they look motivated and they need a proper coach.
They do have good players, so that isnt the problem.
Dempsey u piece of ?
as long as france beats mexico their cheating will be ignored. get it done monsieurs
Dempsey is good and I'm a big fan of his game but do you think that he is a top 10 player at his position in the EPL?
Last season, Brad Friedel was 10th, among all goalkeepers, with a goal against average (GAA) of 1.26 and 13 shutouts. This season he is currently 2nd with 0.86 GAA and 8 shutouts.
Last season, Tim Howard was 6th with a 0.97 GAA and 17 shutouts. He is currently 11th with a GAA 1.62 and 4 shutouts. He was a top five goalkeeper in 2006-07 and 2007-08.
We still haven't seen much of Brad Guzan but he could become another great USA goalkeeper.
