I had a COH. I still think the Lakers will win and repeat this season.

    1. Lakers will end up with HCA once all said and done. Winning at Staples is going to be very hard even for a hungrier team like Cleveland.

    2. Pau Gasol will man up to his 2009 NBA Finals form and give Varejao and Shaq mismatch problems proving his mettle as one of the best international players in league history.

3.Lebron and the Cavs are known as a great regular season team but a tremendous choker in the playoffs. (See last year)

    4. Phil Jackson > Mike Brown. 10>0. Phil Jackson has never lost defnding his le. Ever. Mike Brown has never won a le. Ever.

    5. Mo Williams will disappear. Delonte West will have a bipolar disorder come June and JJ Hickson will hit a wall. All this while Farmar, Bynum and Shannon Brown emerges as the Lakers wave of the future.

    6. Sasha Vujacic will regain his blazing shooting efficiency (See 07-08 season) while Bobbie Gibson will have a difficulty connecting 30% beyond the arc. Also Leon Powe will never be 100% while Josh Powell will finally come alive for the Lakers.

    7. Kobe will also regain his early season dominance. This will be his finest NBA Finals performance shooting close to 50%.

8.Artest and the Lakers coaching team will create a plan to hold Lebron to an embarassing 40% shooting. Just like the Wizards, Celtics and Nets have done against him.

    9. Fisher will be huge again in clutch situations. They said he has dead legas and his done. Well he'll prove them wrong again outsmarting players like Billups,Mo Williams,Rondo and Jameer Nelson (whoever LA faces)

10.Stern would do everything in his power to make sure Cleveland does'nt win a le which in turn will make Lebron jump ship to New York with Amare or Bosh.

Its all set ladies and gents

They are still the defending champs until they get unseated. They are the team to beat still, until some team actually does that it looks likely. That can be said though for any defending NBA champ, unless they are broken up like the 1998 Chicago Bulls. Teams have to play them with something to prove and play them hard. They can be beat, but again some team in the NBA has to actually take it away from them. Talk is cheap. Go out and do it.

They don't have a snowball's chance. If they make it to the Finals they'll probably get swept.

Look! Same rhetoric from last year! Let's go Nuggets! Let's hope and pray that the Lakers don't get their act together!

ChrisRichards is a pathetic poster. Your boy MiamiHeat already made this anti-jinx thread, got. Go back to the Kobe thread and cry your eyes out.
