Sore ankle keeps 'Melo out for second game in row

HOUSTON (AP) -- Denver star Carmelo Anthony is sitting out Wednesday's game in Houston to rest a sprained left ankle.
Anthony is the NBA's second-leading scorer behind LeBron James, averaging 29.7 points per game. He also skipped Monday's win over Charlotte after hurting his ankle in Saturday's overtime victory against New Orleans.
The 6-foot-8 Anthony will miss his seventh game this season due to injury. He sat out five games earlier this month with a bruised right knee.
Nuggets coach George Karl says he expects Anthony to return for Friday's game in Oklahoma City.

Melo will play come Sunday and score 30-40 points. Book it!
I will take up that bet with you. @ 30-40 points ....![]()
After that, he will end up scoring 50 points. How would you like that?![]()
He's playing Friday, so he's obviously going to play in the Spurs game..
