Spoiler: All-Star reserves revealed

Point guards Deron Williams(notes) of Utah, Boston's Rajon Rondo(notes) and Chicago's Derrick Rose(notes) will make their All-Star Game debuts next month in Dallas, sources said Thursday.
Williams, Rondo and Rose top the list of reserves chosen by the league's coaches to participate in the Feb. 14 game at Cowboys Stadium. The names won't be made official until Thursday night, but Yahoo! Sports has obtained the list of reserves.
Besides Rondo and Rose, the East roster includes Boston's Paul Pierce(notes), Toronto's Chris Bosh(notes), Charlotte's Gerald Wallace(notes) and Atlanta's Joe Johnson(notes) and Al Horford(notes).
The West includes the New Orleans' Chris Paul(notes), the Lakers' Paul Gasol, Oklahoma City's Kevin Durant(notes), Dallas' Dirk Nowitzki(notes), Memphis' Zach Randolph(notes) and Portland's Brandon Roy(notes).
Among the notable candidates left off the team are the Los Angeles Clippers' Chris Kaman(notes), New York's David Lee(notes) and Denver's Chauncey Billups(notes).

You can make a case for Randolph over Gasol since they have similar numbers yet Randolph has played in 15 more games. Also, Bynum should have been the center, probably making it over Gasol.

Josh Smith and David Lee deserved it over Horford. Kaman also deserves the spot over Pau Gasol. Other than that, pretty good list.
ZBo as an All Star this year can't really be denied.

I agree with everything except Horford and Gasol..
I understand the Gasol selection though, Lakers should have 2 All-Stars, and it also kills Allanon's troll argument of Kobe not having an All-Star LOL..I also can't think of anybody else, since I believe Kaman is probably the most overrated player in the NBA..
Horford is having a very good year, so I don't mind the actual selection of him, but I don't think he should be ahead of Josh Smith..
Can't argue with the West list. Billups is really deserving, but so is DWill and he is looooong overdue on this. Bynum probably deserves some consideration, but it seems like Gasol got the "Lakers vote". All in all the West is simply stacked, with a lot of good teams and players. There are 3 teams out of the playoffs in the West right now that would be fighting for a 5th seed in the East.
The East though is just weak! Al Horford??? Not only is he not the second best player on that team, is he really the second best center? Lee is obviously better but playing for a ty team, but what does Horford really have on Bargnani, Perkins, or Noah? If anything, the only All-Star talent out of the bunch is Bargnani and he still has a long way to go. Rose is obviously beasting the last month or so, but he had a poor start to the season. I don't know if Captain Jack isn't more deserving of this. And once you think that Iverson probably doesn't deserve it at all, than finding another point guard to play really is difficult. This shows the disparity in talent among the conferences IMO.
The west has a long list of deserving candidates, with the East we are scratching our head as to who would fill out the last positions.
You're underrating Horford..
He's having a better season than Noah and Bargnani..
Bargs has been nice lately, but he still impacts the game in only 1 aspect, which is scoring..he's still an average defensive player and a sub-par rebounder(although his rebounding had been better lately before that last game where he picked up 1 board)..
Noah has been the better rebounder and shot blocker, but Horford has outplayed him everywhere else..it's also a lot more logical to give the Hawks 2 All-Stars as opposed to giving the Bulls 2 of them..
Statistically, he's been better than Perkins, although I'll give Perkins credit for being the best 1 on 1 post defender in the NBA..the Celtics would have 3 All-Stars though, and they don't deserve that this season..
The only guy that deserves it more than him is Josh Smith IMO..
As for Rose and Jack, there isn't an argument there..
