George Hill and the Clippers Game
    by Jesse Blanchard

For all the summer excitement of Richard Jefferson, Antonio McDyess and DeJuan Blair, perhaps the biggest offseason acquisition has been George Hill the shooting guard.

Before joining 48MoH, I wrote in my seldom read blog that the stories of the preseason were the play of Blair and Hill. Blair, for proving his game translates (at least partially so far) to the NBA and Hill, for the development of his jump shot.

i don't know if Hill being the 4th option will get us over the top.

and that's a shame, considering he's one of my favorite Spurs.

The key with Hill, other than the obvious natural improvements, is that he's become consistently aggressive the last few weeks..he's always looking to attack, even using Tony's 1-man fast break style and putting it to good use..

I've always wanted him to become more aggressive because his tools are obvious..his athleticism + his length make him a very good weapon..

Those corner 3s from Hill are going to be crucial this season..

He was killing from the corners to start the season and cooled there for a while, but it definitely looks to be a shot that will become a staple. I'm just glad that he's starting to settle in and see where he and his game fits, which allows him to play more instinctively and with more aggression.

It's a learning process both physically and mentally for him, but he's on the right track.
