Not really surprising. Now, if anyone believed that he wouldn't push for this if elected during the campaign...well, welcome to politics.
Still, this is a bipartisan accomplishment. Ramping up spending doesn't seem to matter when you can finance your proligate spending with a seemingly limitless supply of credit. Maybe more Americans will be pissed about the bailouts, the stimulus pork packages, and the "long wars" once they get the bill.
