    Looking Ahead for New All-Stars

    Yesterday’s All-Star game featured nine new participants. That’s good for the league. The Spurs sent one man, who was, of course, not new to the festivities. I wonder, when will the Spurs next send a new participant to the All-Star game? Someone not named Tim Duncan, Tony Parker or Manu Ginobili.

    Interesting question. I'd bet the next Spurs all-star not Tony, Tim, or Manu is not currently on the roster; and we probably won't see him until we draft him in the lottery in another couple of years.

    I have no idea what the landscape of the western conference will be in the next 5 years, but I could see a scenario where Blair becomes a major rotation player and gets an all-star nod if there's a dearth of Forward/Centers...a la David Lee or Zach Randolph.
