I know absolutely nothing about the hockey but will watch this as long as it stays interesting.
I heard the chances of US beating Canadadada twice is highly unlikely.
I'll admit, I'm not a hockey expert at all. But I'm watching right now and the one thing I've seen Canada doing against the US that they did against Russia is that they're spending tons of time behind the net just getting into the head of the goalie.

US back within 2-1. Again, I don't know much about hockey, but I do know team sports. With the Canadian player hanging out around behind the net, the goalie has to keep tabs on him in the back of his mind. That's and they're probing like crazy whenever possible.
The PP kill they had earlier in the 2nd period was beautiful, even to a newbie like myself.
Plus Canada just looks faster on the ice.

Overtime!
Power play is when one of other team's players is in the penalty box, thus resulting in you having more players on the ice than the other team. Obviously, this is a prime time to score.
And I could be wrong, but I think Miller was out of the goal helping on offense in a last ditch effort on that last minute.

lol, I just tuned in for the last 8 minutes and I'm already bored. But this is as good as hockey gets, so I'll keep watching.
Holy , what a ridiculous end to the period! It doesn't come much closer than that. I'm glad the country's getting this great chance to see how ing awesome hockey is.
You can trade your goalie for an extra offensive player, that's what they did.
Power Play is when you a team is missing a player because of penalty. The guy has to go to the penalty box for 2:00 minutes so you have an advantage.
I never watch hockey but it's been pretty tight.
They were beating the out of each other in the 2nd it was brutal
So how does overtime hockey work? Is it first to score wins (sudden death)?
What happens if no one scores, how many overtimes are there before they start doing that penalty shot stuff?
20 minutes 4 on 4 sudden death.
Afterwards if it's tied, 3 player shootout, then sudden death shootout.

I have to say, I LOVE that the olympics DO NOT let them fight. they separate it and get back to playing
if the NHL did that, i would watch more.
