no we're not gonna recover for another 5 years at the very least.
and any "fan" that tells you otherwise is a liar.
Hey guys, hope you have all recovered from the finals.
Spurs will be back there next year for another crack
Just curious what you guys think of the Shaw hiring in Denver?
Of course as a Nuggets fan I love it coz I think his championship pedigree is something needed in Denver, and he said he is fine with the young guys making mistakes if they are putting in he work.
I see a better defensive team and half court sets.
Think they will make the playoffs next year? Or do you think they are destined for a big drop off for the next year or so as they get familiar with the new coach and philosophy?

Oops, how do I fix the le ?
It's meant to say Spurs fans, not Sours fans![]()
![]()
trust me. that le is good for the next 5 years at least![]()
Lol. I felt the same way after the Broncos-Ravens game. I kept replaying the final seconds of regulation in my head for at least a week![]()
a week???
no bro
it's going to take years to recover, and I'm not talking about me. I'm talking about the bandwagoners.
the true fans will never recover from this.
I'm in between that. so I'll recover sometime. I think
:facepalm
There should really be a :facepalm for situations like this.
Back to the OP: I'm wondering why Brian Shaw was always a candidate for coaching jobs and Chuck Person wasn't. I thought Person was the defensive-minded guy on Jackson's staff.
Not a fan of Karl after finding out from Billups that the guy didn't have any out of bounds plays, so a worthy gamble on Shaw. Certainly better than picking some loser off the NBA coaching carousel.
Karl is a pretty good coach but definitely the change of coaching position is welcome in Denver for better or worse, lols 1st round exit seemingly every year for quite some time
Shaw will be OK and if denver can replace Iguodala with a quality player they could be good, still don't see them go further than round 2.
Pretty much over it already. What helped me get over it was looking at the positives. We saw Kawhi breakout during the finals. More specifically game 7. 19 points and 16 rebounds holy ! We were a couple of plays away from a championship that's the way I look at it. I'm proud of my team win or lose! I went to the bank the other day, and like always reppin my spurs cap. The lady says..."you still wearing that cap"? I quickly replied of course. I'm not only a fan win were winning. I'm here through thick and thin. As for your question, It's hard to say whether he'd be a good fit for you guys. It may take some time to figure out of it is indeed the right match. You guys will be fine and will make the playoffs.
karl never did anything in the postseason
also the nuggets did beat karl (sonic coach) only series denver every did in the playoffs
Still think you guys will be really good..However your biggest obstacle will be what you guys do for FA signings..Losing Iggy will hurt them a bit, but I am sure you could keep him at the right price..Young teams are really tough and if they buy into the system he will be running they will be just as good next year
Shaw isn't bad, but I wouldn't have minded to see Lionel Hollins try to lead Denver.
New blood is good. Would've hated to see Denver to go back to the retread route ala Carleisimo or what not.
Has any Phil Jackson assistant ever had success? Nope. Hamblen, Rambis, Winters, Clemeons...all failed miserablly as head coachs. IMO the same will happen with Shaw. He has a team that overacheived last year with no superstar and Nugget fans are gonna want to see the same amount of success at least....55+ wins. But dont be suprised if the Nuggets struggle for the 8th seed and barely hit 45 wins without George Karl.
If he's not an idiot like Karl was and playing Koufus over McGee, the team will be automatically better.
Koufus is going to memphis for Arthur.
I know. I'm saying play McGee
Agreed and likewise on all points. Except I haven't needed to go to the bank recently.
Best move the Nuggets did this offseason. Trading Koufos for Arthur might be a big mistake.
