1. I really wouldn't give a . We aren't winning this year...
2. Pop.
3. Atlanta.
1 - how would you spurfans react?
2 - who would you pin the blame on?
3 - which team will you be rooting for to win it all?
1. I really wouldn't give a . We aren't winning this year...
2. Pop.
3. Atlanta.
not making the playofs = not winning a championship
spursfans would react the same to both. so, see 2009,2008
Actually missing the playoffs is better than a five game first round exit or a sweep, in my eyes.
But let's not get too excited, spurs can pull this off. I am confident we ll make the playoffs being sixth or better and move to the second round.
Missing the playoff? If Spurs dont win the Ring,
it doesnt matter whether it was in WCF, 1st round or no playoff. Its the same bullzhit. After all, 2007 was LAST year. Sad for Timmy, retiring without his 5th Ring. Book it
1. I'd drink for a while then stop talking about them for two months.
2. Pop.
3. Denver/Orlando
1. I would be disappointed.
2. Pop, since he's basically both the coach and FO at the same time
3. Won't be rooting for another team.
1. I would be shocked. I know they are not going to win the championship but the Spurs have only missed the playoffs 4 times in their NBA history.
2. RJ. The guy was supposed to come in and fill the scoring void when our guys got hurt. He hasn't done it.
3. Thunder. Kevin Durant is a beast and it would be cool to see such a new franchise win it this fast.
beating who? Mavs? Nuggets? you must be out of your mind. they better PRAY they get a team like the Jazz or Thunder in the first round, which means they need the 5th seed.
If the Spurs missed the playoffs...
...I'd start planning my NBA Draft Lottery party
The offseason acquisitions were made in order to contend for a championship - not to get ousted in the first round. As it stands, this team is not equipped to beat any of the upper tier teams in the conference. I do not expect them to make the playoffs.
1. i`ll be sad
2. Pop
3. Utah
1. We aren't going to win or come close anyway, so on to next season
2. No one specifically, just not good team play
3. OKC or ATL
1. Shocked as well. Assumed they'd be right there with LA whne the season began.
2. Pop-only because of the constant line-up and minutes fluctuation. I believe we'd be at least 5 games better had he just picked a line-up and stuck with it.
3. None. If McDyess isn't playing I'm not really in to it. I'd watch LA games here and there and in the finals just because I believe they're the best overall team and I'm always a little sad when the season's over.
We'd get our best draft pick since the day Duncan was drafted (top 14), at a time when we probably need it the most, so I wouldn't be that bummed considering a rebuild is around the corner... Having said that, it's time Greg Popovich starts eyeing a predecessor to himself, most likely for '11-'12 or '12-'13, and I would indeed put at least 50% of the blame on him this season. Going small out of 'necessity', 18 different lineups, giving up on our '05 first round pick, etc, etc. It all goes hand in hand with Pop's regression as a coach (imho)... As far as who I'd root for - Cleveland and Thunder (assuming they make the playoffs).
1. disappointed
2. RJ by a country mile
3. nobody
1. disappointed...![]()
2. Everyone....
3. Don't care who wins as long as LA or Cleveland Don't win it....

i would be sad and would be another long summer
and fiesta would suck!
1- I sad. But the forum will go crazy.
2- The whole team.
3- I wont be 'rooting' for anyone, but I would like to see Cleveland win it then.
1. Kill some stray cats in my backyard
2. Richard Jefferson
3. OKC as and underdog, and Magic as a real contender
1- happens
2- mainly pop
3- everyone playing the lakers then I will root for cats / bulls / blazers
1. yawn - expected
2. Pop
3. Spursnorth *Cavs
1. Sad, but not entirely surprised and basically expected this. I've seen numb nutts run the team into the ground during and since the 2006 playoffs. I was actually very pleasantly surprised when they won in 2007.
2. Please. Lord Poppy all the way. And Holt for enabling him. And Duncan for enabling him too.
3. I'd like to see ATL upset and win. Or OKC. Lebron would be okay.
Anyone but the pretentious fony marketing joke that is LaLa Land.
1. Wondering why I bought season tickets and jinxed the team.
2. Pop
3. I stop watching after the Spurs are out. Don't care who. If I had to choose, I would root for OKC.
Spurs are not going to miss the playoffs. In fact, I'm in the minority who thinks they will get home court advantage in the 1st round. I truly, honestly believe that the Spurs are the only team in the West who has the TALENT to hang with the Lakers. For as many Kobe's/Lamar's that they have mismatch-wise, we have Gino/Parker who are matchup NIGHTMARES for them as much so as Kobe/Lamar(when fully healthy). I think the Nugs are overrated, and the Mavs/Spurs are only ones who pose a legitimate threat to the Lakers talent-wise. If you look at my thread I outline what the Spurs can do to turn this thing around (without adding any pieces).
I'd be happy. I know this team has no shot in making it past round 1 this year. We are not winning and with the team setup to be financially limited this year (Poor return on big investment this summer), I don't see us changing too much over the summer.
Plus it would be great to be able to get some more nice young talent.
