sucks, and I could really give a about him coming around or not.
maybe it's false hope (like several other times he's made a big play, then followed it up by playing awfully)

skip through to 1:50. i'm sure you've all already seen this but i thought it was good cuz that's the reason he was brought here. idk though, he did only have 9 pts. off of 33% shooting :/

...sucks...coming...
Lulz.
But, yeah, aside from a couple of moderately aggressive drives through the lane LATE in the game, I saw nothing to give me the impression that he'd all of a sudden "turned the corner", so to speak.
It's all about predictability now. He needs to know what his role is.
Pop needs to get a handle on the rotation.
He was okay last night. Rebounded well, his defense wasn't as bad as it usually is, he stayed fairly aggressive on offense even if his shot wasn't falling... that's about all you can ask at this point.
The problem is, for every good game he has, he'll have about six or seven ty games. He can't be counted on. Hopefully is starts building some consistency.
And I had to LOL at his post-game interview when he said he'd probably be playing more at the 3 because that's where he's most comfortable. And look who got more playing time last night... Finley. We have four bigs, why can't two of them play at the same time?!
isn't coming along anywhere or anyone unless it's Luke's back.
heh, didn't put that together on purpose. i'm not expecting him to turn the corner really. i just thought like always maybe he's progressing one microscopic step at a time
...and maybe I'm growing a third arm out of my forehead.
I would feel better if his first score was 2 minutes after the game started than 2 minutes before the 3rd quarter finished.![]()
sounds about right9 pts. off of 33% shooting
It's good news that Pop talked with him and told him he wouldn't be put at PF anymore... it obviously wasn't working on the court, and it obviously wasn't helping the seemingly overwhelmed Jefferson adjust to his new team & situation. The thing is, Jefferson doesn't have to be a star to help the Spurs-- he has to score in double figures, shoot a decent FG and 3 pt%, be aggressive and energetic on D, draw fouls, etc... I think it's still very plausible that he can be that player come playoff time. Not that that addresses the real problem: the absence of a center.
Last night: I remember him going up for a dunk and getting fouled and missing it. the whole team got fired up over that and then he steps up to the line and misses both free throws. I don't see him coming around.
on a positive note, he got some rebounds and the defense could have been worse.
I think some one said it right, when they said Jeff needs to find his role, and that might be it, grab rebounds, play tough D, and score when he has a chance or open! I think the pressure of him being added to the team to get them a championshiop was to much for him, especailly since he was playing with the lowly Bucks last year. But, Manu is coming back to form, easing most of the pressure off of him, Tim is Tim a dam legend, and parker will be parker! everyone else needs to contribute in some way or another!!! But everyone def. needs to play D!!!!!
pop needs to set the damn rotation whether mason and bonner out or finley is in or whatever.. just set a damn rotation already. all those guys are equally ty in there own way anyway. im fine with what we used last night. just no bonner is my request.
He talked about that on an interview last night. He stated that he was so pumped on what nearly happened on that dunk that he overshot freethrows.
Jefferson should not let go of his emotions if he wants to flourish with this team.
no...blair,hill and manu was bailing him out all night in the thunder game..yes he is attacking more, but he still sucks, he still look to pass the ball first when he catch it
Does nobody check the info anymore?"Ginobili 26 pts, his highest scoring total of the season"
