Although given my general belief that the less congress does the better off we'll be, then I suppose I should view it as a good thing for America that congress is busy arguing over whose fault it is that there's no bipartisanship as opposed to actually trying to pass legislation.

I don't think so. We can't afford it and the repugs are laying it out for everyone who is watching this. The dems are saying we have to do this because we have too.
The two parties want alot of the samethings on care, just like every dem keeps saying before he speaks, except we can't afford it, you should not make americans buy something they don't want and the numbers are wrong in the bills the dems made. Other than that, they do agree on a bunch of stuff.
I thought it was funny how Obama tried to make fun of McCain but it was a fail. It shows how riled Obama is as president. McCain was laying the smack down on Obama and Barry couldn't handle it. Besides, what's wrong with McCain calling out Obama about his broken promises?

The funny thing is Obama completely ignored McCain's point, that the current bill is such a mess that they should just start over. He just dismissed it as a talking point and proceeded to blather on about God-knows-what.
That was assholish of Obama on McCain. One of the themes Obama keeps saying is we need to move this along but will talk everyones ears off!!!!
I've spent the day painting the kitchen and listening to this. Let me summarize for those fortunate enough not to be painting the kitchen today.
Obama: My ideas are good. You should support them.
Republicans: You. Support our ideas.
Obama: You.
Republicans: No You.
Pelosi: Nobody wants to me.
All: Shut the up
Obama: This has been very constructive. Thank you all for coming. Now on to reconciliation.
He has to ignore it. He wants the people to think republicans just want to say "no" to Obamacare. He doesn't want to remind the peeps the dems wrote all those bills they are talking about today. He doesn't want to talk about money unless it's with a broad brush This is the first day the repugs got to voice thier opinion to the President on the subject

I'm usually into this kind of thing, but I knew it would be a giant waste of time so I didn't watch a second of it.

Man, Obama laidED it down. He said (like that means anything to him) but he did say if he doesn't see any movement from the repugs, he is going forward and if the people don't like it, thats what elections are for!

Sounds like he did. I just turned to CNN and they said he told repugs that they are moving forward without them.
Obama is probably smarter than Bush but at least Bush wasn't a pussy like Obama is. Obama can't get anything done. Bush was able to go to war with two countries. Obama can't do .
