Is there a such thing as sex addiction? Or just really horny people. Sex addiction is bull . It's natural and good for you. That would be like someone having a water addiction.

I understand when they use the term sex addiction to describe someone who was sexually abused by a parent and has a screwed up notion of love, sex, and attention. I could see how that might lead to a sex addiction and looking for love the person never got or something like that. I am tired, though, of the whole I am a powerful or rich man who has sex with whomever I want so I am an addict; feel bad for me; get me treatment. Personally, I think for most of these men, it is more about en lement, ego, or power.
For now, there is no diagnosis of addictive sexual disorder in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual IV although the ICD 10 does include excessive sex drive.
I can understand being addicted to being a sexually dominating person, finding a nice girl to corrupt then dumping her when you get bored (that sounds like more of a mental illness than banging lots of chicks). There's nothing wrong with not wanting to commit to es, but using sex for power and ego tripping rather than standard pleasure is messed up. But the chicks these "sex addicts" are banging are not innocent little girls that are manipulated by rich men, they are grown ass women that enjoy the idea of being secret dumpsters for rich men. Boo ho!
So yea, whatever therapy these dude's are going through...total BS and an obvious tactic they can use in court to say they made a good effort to "make the marriage/family" work.
