Ginobili's been playing like the third best SG in the league since the All-Star break and we set him tonight, Parker's still injured and he was our lead scorer, and the Spurs seem to be a little too confident going into this game, I'm thinking they didn't think New Jersey had much of a chance. And NJ wanted that 10th win real bad. Not to mention we played like utter and it came down to the wire against an NBA team, albeit it being one of the worst teams of all time.

Don't get me wrong, BAD loss, terrible loss, I don't disagree, but it's not the end of the world/Armageddon some of ya'll are making it out to be just as long as we get a healthy Ginobili and whoop the Rockets. We beat the Lakers and this loss never happened and we're playing great again, there's got to be extra bipolar medicine out there for some of the people on here.

Regardless of how bad it was and who it was to, a loss is a loss. Nothing better...but nothing worse.

Night ya'll, hopefully I don't wake up and read this and feel like a dumb ass.

The Spurs never cease to surprise. This time not a pleasant one. They played down to the level of the compe ion. Pop seemed pretty calm through it all.

It's hard to be optimistic about this team when Tim looks like a zombie out there.

That's what happens when you play without a true point guard. The Spurs approached this game like it didn't count in the standings. They deserved to lose.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Usually my grammar is decent. sat*

And also, take into consideration this game is #2 of a back to back and you all know how much we suck at those. Not to mention the annoying injuries with Bogans and Mason, who for the most part shot well.

The Spurs and their fans deserved to lose this one. The Nets are still an NBA team. They are a bad team, but not as bad as their record indicates. Before the game there were threads about resting players. Spurs fans need to realize that without Parker and Manu, this team stinks. They also need to realize that the Spurs with a healthy big 3 and a couple contributing role players, can contend for a championship. You people need to get over yourselves and realize this loss isn't as big of a deal as you are making it.

I felt like the spurs were in preseason mode

Didn't they just get all of their players back from injury just recently? and now they have won 3 of their last 4 games.

not to make excuses (which means i am making an excuse) but without 2 of our big 3, and the 3rd playing on old tired injured legs, this was no gimmee, and we payed the price for not bringing it for all 48 minutes.

I didn't watch the game or hear about pre-game rosters...but when I saw they lost I was like "omg wtf Pop sat Duncan and played Manu only a few minutes, that stupid old man." Interestingly, it was Duncan that got 30 minutes and Manu that was sitting (understandable since he looked to be in some pain yesterday).

It doesn't take a genius to assume that the Spurs let the Nets hang around and eventually collapsed under the lack of offensive ball movement. No Manu + No TP + a hungry team desperate to stay out of the history books = Possible Loss, and that's exactly what happened. This loss is on our team, not Pop being an idiot...which is actually a relief lol

This is just a reality check to those people who have WCF's on the brain. Let this be evidence the spurs are 1 and done. Manu has been carrying this team on his back by himself and the one day Manu needs a little help against this century's worst, they lay an egg. No way this team makes it out the first round without their anchor leading the way. This loss almost locks up the eighth seed unless OKC chokes and spares SA a life.

Wow. So many different opinions and so much bull . Yes it sucks to lose, but did anyone really believe we were going 12-0? or whatever...I am at least glad the loss came against the Nets without GINO, TP, & RMJ(in the second half). I might be one of the few, but I would rather lose to them as opposed to giving up our wins against the best team in the league(Cavs), another top team in the Celts...etc. We are playing good ball lately, but we got caught up in the fact the Nets are the worst team in the league. This happenes. Besides all that...who the is disillusioned enough to honestly believe we are going to win the championship anyways? I am hoping for great play to build on next year and hope we can get as far as possible in the PO. I have not completely given up, but the odds are against us. I still believe it is possible, just not likely. But calm down people. Even in the 8th spot we are only what?...4 games behind Dallas and alot of teams are slumping at the moment. So who knows what can happen in 10 games.
