The San Antonio Spurs Manu Ginobili will miss tonight's game against the New Jersey Nets due to lower back spasms.
Good. He needs the rest. Hope his back feels better soon.
Uhhh how serious is this? Is this a precautionary thing or will he miss more games?
Back spasms doesn't sound serious. Good to see him getting some rest. Tim really needs to step up now.
Yeah, this seems NBA-ese for "we're giving the guy a night off."
That's what I'm hoping. I wanted Manu to sit anyway for tonight, just wanted to make sure it wasn't a legit injury cuz his book to be bothering him after he went out in last night's game.
RJ and hill need to step it up.
back could be sore, bust most likely its a "coughrestcough thing.
Dunno why they wouldn't just say rest though, it was said for Lebron James earlier this year.
They are probably just giving him the night off. Because, as Rocket fans know, back spasms are serious if they become chronic
will have to get up for this game.
The centerpiece will most likely start at SG.
Infuriating the masses.
Maybe they can get Gee or Jerrells up there for a game.
now probably temple, mason and malik will get more playin time....
its an opportunity for these guys to prove themselves and get playin time in the rotations.....GO SPURS GO........
I'm thinking he'd almost certainly play if it was Boston and not the worst team in NBA history tonight.
I got back spasms right now...they're pretty painful
He shouldn't have been in the game last night after the 5:00 minute mark of the 4th Quarter...
There was a play where he ended up on the floor and tried to provoke a loose ball while on his knees... it seems as though this play might have tweaked his back...
My once or twice yearly lumbar L4/L5 cramps started last Monday morning, but, right on schedule, I was better every day, and almost pain free by Friday. Still have a little soreness, but nothing like the near-immobilization of last Monday.
And I do lots of back strengthening exercises, which is what the docs say is the best prevention.
Humans haven't completed evolving from all-fours physically, and it's very clear a large number of red-staters and tea-baggers are still on all-fours mentally.
We really need Manu "back" for Wed.
Would be awesome to see what Gee has in a quick look tonight.
Hairston and Mahinmi will most likely get good minutes.
Not worried....yet. If he misses the game against Houston then it's ring the alarm time.
I know at least 3 ST posters that were going to see them tonight.. what a bummer for them...![]()
This is not made up. He had back pain when they finally took him out of the Boston game, and was sent to the locker room. I just hope it's not serious.
You could see him flinch when making that last basket, I think that's when he hurt it (or at least when he felt it).
Popovich tried to get him out earlier but Manu waved him off.
