lol, I saw this earlier making the rounds. But did it really need it's own thread? It seems like it would work better as an accompaniment to your other youtube thread with the tea party kid pointing out the MSM's "double standard."

Nothing wrong at all with this youtube, but the same thing applies here as any time this debate comes up. The crazies are crazies no matter whether they are liberal or conservative. Idiocy is idiocy, and pretending Tea Party idiocy is excusable because of Anti-War idiocy back in the day was supposedly allowed and embraced is not the way to go about handling the discussion. When will people stop arguing "they did it, so we should be able to do it too"...folks need to grow up.

Also, LOL @ the people holding Kerry/Edwards posters

There has always been protesters that are not level headed. This is nothing new to report. Whether they be liberal or conservative it doesn't matter there are always crazies.

I'm a pretty far left liberal, but even I consider myself a rational person. People who spout ad hominem attacks like Hitler/Bush and Obama/Osama are just begging to not be taken seriously. It's a laughable concept to take things to the extreme, but this has always happened.

Just like there were people leading up to independence who called King George a tyrant and burned him in effigy, and there was a vast group who peacefully lobbied for rights.

What I don't think any kind of nutbaggery is excusable. What I object to is the liberals' and MSM's assertion that nutbaggery is the mainstream belief of people on the right and/or the Tea Party.

Yet, most of your own threads do the very same thing, but merely reverse the polarity.

Okay, we'll start from a foundation where we agree. Now, we need to move onto how the Republican party is hijacking the Tea Party by turning it into the Tea Party Express and making it out to seem like a huge movement that's gravitating toward them. That's the message on Fox News, but it's bull ...when I first heard of the Tea Party, it was the Ron Paul crowd pissed off about Wall Street, Interventionist Foreign Policy, and fear of Martial Law - all treated as fringe type of , that actually made sense in some cases. The Republicans have turned what was once an outlandish, crazy group into something MUCH different through the use of the...wait for it...media! Instead of being a grassroots tool used to wake people up to the idiocy of broken government, it's now a political tool used by wealthy politicians that's attempting to create a new voting base to get them elected...not make this country better.

The Tea Party Express complains about being painted in a negative light by the MSM, but they NEED the MSM media to give them some legitimacy as a movement. It's a weird situation yo, and if Sarah Palin wasn't saying such ridiculous all the time people might not make fun of it. I'm like 95% sure the Tea Party Express is a huge joke to the old school Tea Party people. They can't like Ron Paul and Sarah Palin at the same time, not possible at all.
